No cold water in the shower at all as the tap did not work When I checked in the evening before I asked if room service was available as my daughter was arriving late and I was advised there was a menu in my room - when we went to order room service at 8.45 pm we were then told only pizza was available! The traffic noise was really noticeable

Middle of a lockdown and the staff managed to make sure we wanted for nothing and nothing was too much trouble. Would always be happy to stay here. Room service meals and range from menu were above expectations. Drinks to rooms was also appreciated.

Great location if visiting the Royal Children's Hospital or the Zoo. Easy access into the City by trams or a short walk. Hotel food good value. Rooms a little tired but very clean and all facilities. WiFi excellent and very good service from the Hotel staff.

Great obliging staff with sound knowledge of their business. Older property but well maintained and parts recently refreshed. Good location on tram line , major road just off motorway. Easy access to Lygon st restaurants etc and close to Vic Market and CBD

Great Hotel with a pool which is very unusual in Melbourne so close to the city. Tram to City only takes 15 minutes and stops in front of the hotel. Great restaurant with very friendly staff Cant recommend this hotel enough. Not 5 star but very very comfy.

travelling in this crazy high risk time by myself with a toddler was unbelievably unnerving for myself. We had to travel due to an appointment at the hospital. The staff we so incredibly professional and helpful. I felt so comfortable with all the precautions they are taking and how clean our room was. My son has alot of allergies so hard to order for anywhere, they had supplied with with a microwave so I am able to heat the food I bought for him. The room service I ordered for myself, the food was beautiful and fresh and fast to come to the room. They had helped with my pram/luggage and million bags you need for a toddler, from the car to our room and again on check out had helped pack the car. So thankful for staff on this trip. We will be returning

Arrived late at night, easy to access for the entrance ( after I initially went past the driveway) and parking underneath. Everything ready to check in, and the room at my preferred temperature - a great welcome! Breakfast and papers in the morning and quick checkout. Suggestions - free drink on arrival for members - when you arrive late and the bar is closed could this be offered as a fruit juice to take to the room? - taking suitcases downstairs to the basement carpark is a bit awkward - perhaps some away of leaving them at reception to collect as you come out of the carpark?

Overall good family stay. Breakfast can have more variety. The wifi was limited to just 1 GB per device, not good if you want to watch or download Netflix. Parking is paid $15 per day. Pool is good and relaxing.

Staff are very welcoming & helpful our room was spacious, bed was large & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. We would definitely stay again. We went to Witches & Britches theatre restaurant and it was an easy walk.

Our room was clean and comfortable and the staff were very friendly. We stay regularly for RCH appointments and always enjoy our stay. Our room this time could do with a light above the coffee station. It was very hard to see to make a coffee as it is really dark in that area. Otherwise a great stay.

As my normal Ibis was booked out for the weekend decided to stay at The Mercure in North Melbourne and am so glad I did.. The location is good;great to be close to Carlton/ Parkville and the university area with easy access by trams to the CBD area. The lady on reception ticked all the boxes; friendly ,welcoming.,positive and very helpful. This lady is a real role model for desk staff worldwide. The room was made ready ahead of time . The lift needed an overhaul but the room on floor 2 was very large and well furnished. The bathroom was s abit dated but it all worked well and the place was very clean. Found a great place for breakfast in The auction room about a 6 minute walk from the Mercure;great food and service. The tram to the CDB ran along Flemington Rd very close to the Hotel. It was a quick trip to Flinders St and Lygon St was also close . On our departure the friendly desk lady was back on duty;it was good to be able to thank her and assured her that we would be back next visit to Melbourne. Loved being close to Royal Park and so many surrounding interesting areas.

3rd stay and it was a terrible experience

The first 2 stays was amazing but the third trip extremely horrible. Stayed for 2 nights and the house keeping (room cleaning) was terrible. We had to call back to take bottles and rubbish out. Ordered room service food and it was literally a bottled sauced warmed with already cooked chicken served with rice. The swimming pool ... too my son there and absolutely horrified. Being an Accor member for years now, one of the most terrible experience ever.

A very comfortable overnight stay. Saving the trip back to Geelong at night and returning in the morning to Melbourne.Able to have eight hours sleep and be fresh in the morning. Relaxing breakfast before returning to work.

A comfortable hotel located just outside the Melbourne CBD. The building has been there for over 45 years with a number of owners. The rooms are comfortable and clean but some of the fixtures are a bit dated. Staff are very helpful and efficient. Breakfast is good with a variety to satisfy most people. Evening meals while well presented, are a bit overpriced for what is basically a Pub meal. Parking available at a cost which is to be expected in a large city.

Great location if needing somewhere to stay close to the Royal Children's Hospital. The hotel was old and in need of a revamp. Room itself was in need of a good scrub and was quite dusty. Beds were comfy and bedding was clean.

This hotel is always my first choice to stay in when spending time in Melbourne. Friendly staff, clean rooms, value for money. The only issue we had was we asked for a king bed & got 2 singles pushed together & it was like laying on boards! You could feel the seam of the beds in the centre! I’d hoped for the amount of time we have stayed there that this never happens again, very disappointed.

Staff and food were good - the refurbishment of this hotel seems to have been done with all expense spared. Noisy, dirty rooms - topped by someone’s blood on the pillow case. Moved to the Larwill after one night which was lovely and cheaper!!??

Worst Mercure Hotel ever

I'm frequently using all the range of accor hotel, and this one is the worst Mercure I have ever tested. I checked in at 9:01 PM and ask to if I'm able to eat at the restaurant, and they say sorry it's closed. it was a thursday night. the breakfast in the morning was really bas, scramble eggs were dried, pastry weree not fresh (probably from 2 days ago) bedroom was outdated. don't pick this one guys.
