Terrible experience. Arrived early room wasn't ready which was perfectly okay and re confirmed to have a cot ready for when the room was ready. Arrived back in the very late afternoon and the cot had still not arrived. I was then made to make the cot myself as she said she wasn't sure how to make it. The next morning I went to reception as we did not have a make room sign and requested it be made up while we were out at the zoo. I came back at 5pm and room had not been made. It took 10 minutes to get hold of reception who simply said housekeeping had left for the day and it was only him on so this could not be done. I asked for the bins to just be changed as they had nappies in them and some fresh towels. Waited around 40 minutes for the towels so we could shower but they still had not come so went out for dinner. Came back 3 hours later and the bins stank I have a toddler and a huge part of why I booked this hotel was that it was family friendly and offered daily housekeeping. I called back and said I was not happy and there was no apology just that I am the only one on and I have had heaps of drinks to be made (3 and a half hours after I called). I had to put my toddler to bed so she went to sleep in a dirty cot and with no shower. I would by no standard call this a 5 star hotel with only one staff member on to run the whole hotel. Peppers really needs to invest more in staff training and manning of staff to make sure the operations run smoothly. I have stayed in quite a few Melbourne hotels and come from a background managing hotels and this is by far the worst I have encountered. The pool is also in another building so you have to walk out in the cold to get there. This was meant to be a relaxing getaway before heading home for my daughters second birthday but I feel I have had to clean and service the room myself, this is not why I booked to stay here. I wish I booked somewhere else to stay tonight.

It’s in a quieter spot but still close to everything, with easy transport options. The rooms are spacious, clean, and super quiet—perfect for a relaxing getaway. The staff were friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better.

Parking a disaster don’t pay for it not guaranteed and no consideration to disability parking

Location great, room and affordability great, parking disaster. Not monitored and pay then lose your spot. We paid parking and returned from a night out and were told sometimes guest have friends or people sneak in and use the spots when the gate is open. A simple card on every dash with parking paid would fix the problem and retrieve any vehicle parking without payment. Guests travelling from interstate or out of town, plan their trips depending on parking, with a disability this was appalling.

Terrible experience with check-in. It is not 24 hour reception as advertised but rather you have to try and call a phone number, tap your own credit card and try an issue a room key. After 30 minutes of mucking about (at 11pm) eventually the night manager appeared only to take me to the room with no key and was told to try and check in again the next morning. I asked him to leave a note so the receptionist would be aware of what happened, turns out he didn’t bother leaving a note so I had to re-explain the whole situation again. The night manager lied about the situation in saying that “it’s only not 24 hour reception today due to staff being ill” ….the well worn sign saying that reception is closed between 12 am and 6 am told me all I needed to know. Mattress tired. Swimming pool and Gym are not in in the hotel and require an additional card, of which they only have limited numbers and you have to get from reception. Issue is though that reception does not open at 6 am when the pool does (it eventually opens sometime between 615 and 7 am). Attempted to contact the hotel multiple times during my day to provide feedback and received zero response. This is very much a situation of false advertising which echos some of the other reviews.

Reception never answers. Despite giving them $400 worth of voucher numbers at time of booking, and physical vouchers at check in, they charged us the full amount and kept our vouchers. A month later, still trying to resolve. The pool is also in a neighbouring residential building that absolutely stinks. Do not recommend.
