Accessible to everything, close to CBD, and trams, good as budget hotel, parking space which was great, but with the room we stayed? not that clean - dirty underneath the bed, dusty, shower was linking - xxx

Look, the hotel was not the worst , but it also was not the best. My flight was delayed by 7 hours resulting me in arriving around midnight (i know this has nothing to do with the hotel). They held my room which was great, but when i got into the room, there were no towels, the Tv didn't work, the night manager told me i could only call between 9am to 3pm, i called regarding towels at midnight and his response was "i will get your towels, but only call between 9 and 3 please" which i thought was ridiculous considering it is a hotel, there should be someone ready to answer a phone call at all hours, and towels being a general thing for a hotel.... They also explained they did not have a house keeper on all the time due to COVID which is understandable but when Accor Hotels have the "All Safe" approval, its a bit hard to believe this is a "Allsafe" hotel when they don't have any house keepers. I stayed there for 5 days. Arrived Wednesday and left Monday. My room was only cleaned on Sunday, the day before leaving... (also so happens to be the average day people check out) so i am disappointed the room was cleaned once in a 5 day period. So in hindsight, the issues were: -No towels -tv did not work -no house keeping for cleanliness of rooms -reception did not like you calling after hours and told you to call between 9-3 if you had any issues. The bed itself was alright, if you just want a place to stay and expect no towels and very little customer service then this is the place for you! I however suggest you stay at the IBIS hotel down the street that has better service. I am disappointed that Mercure is apart of Accor Hotels, i have stayed at 2 Mercure's in the past and never had a good experience, to me this gives Accor a bad name.

We recently stayed for two nights. Very small room but we were reasonably comfortable. No food options was a big disappointment to us. Some may enjoy a small kitchenette but, on holidays, we were keen to eat at the hotel restaurant. For breakfast we went to the nearby Ibis (great!). All nearby restaurants were closed for dinner but in a ten minute walk up town we found many Asian-flavoured options. "Due to Covid" there was no servicing of the room. All in all, an "Okay" stay but, yeah nah, won't return. Pretty sure there may be better options.

We stayed here for 3 days. Position excellent, across from Queen Victoria Markets and all the yummy foods and coffee. The free tram literally at the door step. We were upgraded to a bigger corner room as we were celebrating my husband’s birthday. He was even given a lovely bottle of wine and sweater. Room was spotless all in all very very happy and would definitely recommend Mercure on Therry Street

Mercure at Therry is quite convenient as it is quite close to the QV market and a tram stop is within a few metres. Budget friendly and amenities are enough for quick trips. The staff were able to accommodate my early check in and late checkout, they are really helpful.

The position of the hotel is fabulous. Poor safety and cleanliness are probably the two callouts. Room wasn't made up and the entrance and lifts could do with a clean. I couldn't see the fire safety plan. Unable to walk down the stairwell and forced down the lift in a fire evacuation.

Hard parking. Fire alarm at 4.30am. Room was dirty. No reception after 4.30pm. Wanted to watch the footy but the television did not have reception for channel 9. Initially the TV would not turn on. Never again!

I couldnt believe I stayed at a Mercure branded hotel as it did not live up to its Mercure's standard. I stayed in room 914, and I thought I booked a very budget hotel as room had not toiletry, toilet's door broken and it didn't close properly, carpet had stains, the sofa was dirty and had stains, room had a terrible smell like someone had been smoking. I did request to change rooms however nothing was done about it. Got woken up at 4am with the fire alarm going off and we had to evacuate, next day didnt get any apologies, or any information on what had happened, nothing. Very poor poor service

This is a strange hotel with reception on the ground floor, car park in another street, rooms starting from the 9th floor with a long gloomy corridor to get to some rooms. Room was fine, standard hotel room with comfy bed. Reception was only open from 9am to 5pm which is very strange for a Mercure, even in the COVID world we are living in. Not sure what to do when checking out at 8am. Overall comfortable hotel, well priced for a city hotel, albeit a little strange.

I should have realised what the Hotel was like when I arrived at the front door. The footpath outside the hotel was dirty and I would say it has NEVER been swept with a broom or hosed down with a hose. The glass door and window were dirty with finger prints and dust. The same could be said for the tiny reception area, and especially the lift. Only 1 lift was working and that had a worn, tattered, scuffed and dirty floor. It all made me think ... oh boy where am I ... it all gave me the impression of entering a building of a slum. I dont mind the size or age of something, but they should be clean. I would say that maybe the floor was cleaned daily, but it all left the floors looking dirty after such a clean ... a good bit of elbow grease or steam clean would assist in cleaning

The hotel doesn't meet the standards of what is generally applicable for Accor Mercure hotels. No bar, no restaurant and unattractive building. Cleaning of the room not as it should be. Friendly staff.

staff were lovely. Hotel was not very clean. Breakfast was always cold. Position was good. Cant say that I would recommend or stay there again. Bathroom needed updating. Shower was awful. Forgot to replace towels on one day

We will return to this location again. Being close to the Queen Victoria market and a huge food bowl, you don't have to go far to eat. Having said that, the food in house is quite acceptable as well. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet and the extras menu was very reasonable in price. The staff were so friendly and very helpful, we really enjoyed our stay.

Right next to the landmark, Queen Victoria Market. Breakfast sorted! New Clothes needed. Perfect location and lots of places to look around. The room was not that big, but very decent, however normal wear and tear were shown. The service was great, lots of helpful tips from the staff. Will stay here again.

Great location right on the tram stop and lots of options to eat close by. The staff were ok, we are accor members and the reception staff agreed to checking for an upgrade only when we asked- it would be nice if they honored the Accor brand and made the members feel special. Once in the room however there were really nice hand written notes welcoming us which was a nice touch. The hotel is old, bathrooms in both rooms small and old even in the room upgrade. The room itself was clean and modern and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel is good value for money as it isn't expensive to stay at, so its the usual you get what you pay for. It was fairly noisy and the fridge in the room made loud noises all night plus the people in the room next door. I am not sure if there are people who live in the hotel as it seemed like the couple next door may live there permanently and made lots of noise cooking throughout the night. I was only here for less than 24 hours so would stay here again if for a short period.

The Hotel was well located in Melbourne. Access to transport and local eateries. Very busy though with lots of compressed living all around in the high rise and lots of "international" people swarming everywhere. I could have been in Hong Kong. Hotel is feeling and looking a little worn. The food service was below par for this chain. Room service in the evening was mandatory as the restaurant was not open in the evening. The ood was never warm enough, when delivered. I had a lot of work to do after business hours and needed good quality food which I did not get. if I had time to go out to get my own food that may have been different, but I did not. Although, there were a lit of food delivery services available but I was not aware of the poor food service until after the fact.
