Stayed for 3 nights at this modern business hotel. . Ambience at Novotel Melbourne Central is modern, contemporary, and functional. Straight lines with bright lights and some minimalist decor that lends character, the place exudes a prim and proper professional feel. While co-located, they occupy the upper floors of the building, which offers city views of the urban landscape. . Food at Novotel Melbourne Central is provided by the Pretty Boy Italian Steakhouse, which specialises in Italian cuisine. Quality is decent, as I note other non-hotel guests visiting, though the place is quiet most days. Dishes are simply prepared and clean-tasting, highlighting the freshness of the ingredients. . Service at Novotel Melbourne Central is friendly and efficient. While I initially had some difficulty in understanding what the staff were saying to me, I appreciate their patience and willingness to accomodate requests. The housekeeping staff work quickly in cleaning rooms, and maintenance staff are courteous in their interactions. The reception made checking in and out a breeze. . The facilities and activities at Novotel Melbourne Central are limited, with a seeming lack of laundry service (I couldn't spot it). The gymnasium is large and well-equipped with various workout machines, and the meeting rooms are modern and fitted out with proper business and conference technologies. The best thing about the Novotel Melbourne Central is their location, within walking distance to ample dining and entertainment options, and within the city's free tram zone.

Returned iPad

I accidentally left my iPad in my room and the Manager - David Alexander located it and returned it to me. He was polite, efficient and great to deal with, I was so pleased that he has honest staff and I will definitely stay in this hotel again. Thank-you again David

The Superior room was very small; a bit claustrophobic with the dim lighting. There was no room for a desk to do work on and no minibar snacks. Contrary to recent reviews my room was serviced daily. Hotel was very clean. Breakfast buffet had a good offering of the basics and the fresh juice machine was a plus. The espresso ordering service via the QR code was not very efficient. Convenient walking distance to main shopping area, laneway cafes and my meeting locations. Luggage storage is not very secure. Bags are kept in an unlocked area next to the concierge. The receptionist told me to find my own bag and did not check the ticket number.

As a businessman I found in this hotel everything I need. great location! excellent staff! enjoyable breakfast! Rooms comfy, very clean. Very nice facilities. Gym is compact and useful. Definitely going to come back again in my next visit

Checked in after a red eye flight. Tissue box ran out as it contains merely a few pieces. Asked for a replenishment of facial tissues box. Firstly, why do you even turnover a room with such low supply of amenities leftover and not leave a spare box?? Despite calling a few times over a span of an hour plus, it did not arrive. Only 5 hours later when I am in deep rest, the housekeeping kept knocking and knocking and knocking until I open the door! For goodness sake! Just knock and leave it outside the door if you knew you were late for 5 hours! There is no need to disturb the guest after so long!! I’m now having a massive migraine after being disturbed of my rest. Horrible experience!!
