We were there for COVID-19 Quarantine, and the room is absolutely stunning. The beds are so comfortable and the bathroom is amazing. It had a large bath and a rain shower. I wish I could have stayed loger

Unfortunately the show we came to see in Auckland was cancelled just after our hotel check-in due to COVD-19 restrictions. It did however mean we spent more time enjoying our room and we were very comfortable. It was nice to watch a free movie and make a Nespresso coffee in the morning.

Great location but the decor is not more confused than avant-garde especially in the top floor dining room. Had read about the chef and high quality dinners but the overall feel of the room is more like a school cafeteria. Some of the decorations in the lobby and other public rooms are interesting but don't seem to go together as a whole. Rooms are noisy even on higher floors perhaps due to the single pain windows? Really dislike looking into the bathroom from the sitting area. Perhaps it is a feature for someone taking a romatic bath to look outside, but there is nothing to recommend it when you are sitting on the sofa and someone else is using the sink and bathroom. Shared sliding door between shower and toilet only allowed for water to run from one into the other. Staff were helpful and did a great job.

Since late March 2020, SO/ Auckland has been supporting returning New Zealanders with Managed Isolation facilities.
