Sofitel Wellington Hotel 5 stars

Thank you for making my stay memorable. I booked a room for my birthday - as a quiet relaxing and restful break. Within 10 minutes of checking in I had an ice bucket with champagne dropped off as a birthday gift. Thank you for going above and beyond what was necessary. The hotel receptionist was very friendly, her service can not be faulted. I will be back again soon.

Seemed a very average stay compared to previous ones. Room was also started look a little neglected.

Unforgetable experience from our seamless welcome from Thomas(concierge) who looked after our very special car to the elegant room which was fit for a King. The dining experience was presented perfectly by Ben who took the time to explain and recommend sauces and he was spot on.

The first night , the air conditioner didn't work and was sooo hot , 26 degrees . I did ask reception to get someone to look at it and they did , but didn't make much difference . The night was so hot and my wife and I didnt get a very good sleep . In the morning before we went for breakfast I asked the reception lady if she could change our room as the air condition didnt work , she went and saw the duty manager Dayana who arranged another room for us were the air conditioning would work . Dayana said she would sort another room for us and would bring the key to us when we were having breakfast . 15 minutes later Dayana bought the new keys for us. my wife and I decided to go shopping for the day and didnt see our new room until we came back at 3 oclock. When we entered our new room we felt the air conditioning was nice and cool and what was very special was a bottle of wine in a bucket of ice water . Thank you The next morning before we went for breakfast I thanked Dayana for the new room where the air conditioning worked nicely and thanked her for the nice bottle of wine On behalf of my wife and I we would like Management to thank Dayana for her thoughtfulness and kindness These thoughtful deeds give us memories of kindness by your staff and the Wellington Sofitel chain

We were late in, and early out for a ferry sailing, so didn't get the opportunity to take advantage of all facilities. We were leaving too early to enjoy breakfast, but were accommodated with some of the freshest pastries out of the oven to take on our journey.

We booked the Luxury Room as a New Year treat and were very impressed.

I was upgraded to a larger room and given club access

Sofitel Wellington does not dissapoint in any aspect. This is probably my 7th stay at the hotel and I love to visit as a getaway change. The restaurant is a must visit place and the staff is always accommodating and professionsal. I had a dispute in my invoice on check out and the staff at reception actioned things pretty quickly and in the most professional manner. I had some friends visiting during my visit and the bar was closed earlier than expected but the reception staff was well accommodating to help us with some room service food. Thank you once again for a lovel stay and we will see you again soon.

Not a 5 star hotel, room not cleaned to what I would expect of a 5 star hotel , chef seen using mobile phone from pocket then handling food with bare hands .

Room and staff were exceptional. We were however disappointed that the outdoor area hadn't been maintained as in the website photos and that the restaurant menu hadn't been updated to accommodate the current climate. We had been very much looking forward to some seafood and there was none available apart from salmon. Had we been aware if this we may have made other dining arrangements as it was a special occasion
