Acpod Couples - TripAdvisor review

My husband and I stayed for 2 nights in December 2017. We booked through Expedia for non smoking room but given a smoking room. During our stay, we received at least 2 random sex advertising cards through our hotel door. It made us feel extremely unsafe because we are not sure if it’s from the hotel itself or anyone can just get access into hotel. We felt extremely uncomfortable during our stay.

Very convenient location and confort of a large hotel.

RNBKK Friends getaway - TripAdvisor review

Arriving in Leshan by bus (Leshan Lianyun Bus Station), this is most convenient location, just a couple hundred meters away on the large avenue. As well the Railway Station is not so far. The hotel is large and modern and it's better to book online of course. The rooms are very good, the staff basically doesn't speak any English (except one person). The breakfast is Chinese style (not so great), the coffee is ok. It's easy to get to by taxi, but the name card of the hotel with you and the address rewritten more clearly in Chinese. This is the Giant Buddha city and your maybe next destination will be Mount Emei. Leshan is an easy stopover.

We stayed one night at Ibis Leshan. The hotel is basic but the services offered are of quality. The rooms are large, quiet and above all very clean. We asked nothing more for a very short stay except the breakfast which is a bit too basic. The staff is warm welcoming and helpful. In brief, a good place for a short stay in Leshan

Nice hotel with everything you need during your visit in Leshan

Solo_Londoner Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

Chances are you will arrive in Leshan by train with the aim of visiting the Giant Buddha Statue. If you decide to stay overnight the Ibis is a very convenient hotel to make you feel "at home"! From the new train station (where the fast trains from/to Chengdu are) you can take a taxi, max is 20RMB but prepared to be asked about 30RMB. Just show them the meter or agree the price, up to you. The strange thing in Leshan is that taxi drivers don't get out so you need to put your luggage in the boot! Check-in was fast but to my surprise the front-desk employee did not speak English and wanted payment for the room only in cash! Well that was a bit of a surprise, nothing to worry though as there is a bank with ATMs next to the hotel. The room is decent size, large comfy bed, fast wifi, free bottled water and even a computer in the room! Also the cafe/restaurant on the 2nd floor has good coffee and dishes all day if you don't want to venture in the "unknown". On the not so great things as other people mentioned is the smelly bathroom and aircon noise, better to have the window open. To go to the park for the Giant Buddha again you can take a taxi, at reception they can write the destination in Chinese and 'warn' the driver that you know the cost, 15-20RMB. Get a hotel card so you can return as the taxi drivers rarely speak English! Check-out was fast and again note for the taxi driver to get you there 'haggle free'! Overall the helpful staff make all the difference in this hotel! Tip: ask for a room on the higher floors 11/12, the city does not offer much of a view but better and quieter than the lower floors as the drivers are constantly using their vehicle horns which can be annoying to some...
