The room was very clean and well kept. The beds were made beautifully with clean, fresh linen. The kitchen was big, and had everything we needed for our stay and to cook our own meals. The bathroom was big, a full shower.

The accommodation was pleasant and clean and the Team were very accommodating, especially since my Travel Group did not inform them of my extra day. The cleaning team had my aircon on 30 degrees when I returned one night and it took me all night for it to cool down. Where I stayed was also very noisy and people talking outside my room till late.

The room was nice and clean and in a good location. The bathroom was very small. Parking not great when guests are parking with massive utes or trucks in the spaces. The biggest disappointment was when another guest chose to sit outside our room and smoke a cigaratte, which filled out room even though the doors and windows were shut. Maybe smoking areas away from the rooms would help avoid this problem.

Me and a mate spent ages preparing for our trip up to Wagga. On multiple occasions leading up to the trip we had called in advance to ask about arrival during the morning of our booking for that day. At the time of booking they confirmed if we had arrived at 1am on the day of our booking we would be able to stay. This was confirmed to us prior to booking as-well. About a week before the actual stay, we received a call saying the booking would NOT be viable for this midnight arrival and that we would have to book an extra night. This wouldn’t have been a problem if not for the fact it cost me a ton more than I had in my budget even with a gold status and discount, of which when I had booked the room would have cost me less if I had booked it together. The room itself was eh, clean to a degree, beds were not comfortable and all the pillows supplied were massive, an issue for someone who needs smaller pillows for neck support like myself. The bottles of shower supplies fell off the wall after 1 gentle pump attempt. The staff I dealt with these days left nothing but a sour taste in my mouth after the already negative experience. Given I was quite emotional at the time I do not fully blame them however I did not feel valued at all. The resolution for my issues was two bottles of wine? No care to consider my situation or try to keep me. I had considered cancelling my other booking to find something else cheaper since my spending had been impacted so heavily, and receiving a call later after my day had gotten even worse (unrelated to the hotel) I was told all they could do for me was to cancel my booking or keep it. Over the phone I was given a snarky “You said you wanted to cancel it right?”. I know I was being difficult prior to this but this was extremely rude and upset me greatly. I asked to keep the room as I hadn’t made up my mind and was separated from my friend, and once I returned later my keycard was disabled to the room, due to having to check out since the booking was two seperate bookings in the same room. Once we had collected our stuff from the room we decided we were going to cancel it and leave early. On All Accor the website booking says we could cancel anytime up to 16:00, and it was only 13:30. When we reached the office I was at my wits end from my already terrible experience in Wagga. I asked if we could cancel our booking as we were going to leave just to be met with a “It would be very difficult for me to do that so I’m not sure if I can” or similar (contrary to what the online booking had said), so after being jerked in all directions I said I didn’t care and that I wanted to cancel. From here, I was told to speak like an adult and that we were being removed from the premises (which was both the correct and inappropriate way to approach that) and that our free wine would not leave with us (We don’t drink wine anyway, it was left in the room). Upon storming out, he made one last remark about “Making sure we would never stay there again!” which to be clear I wouldn’t want to anyway. Conflicting information at all points, awful staff interaction each time, and banned from the Mercure @ Wagga Wagga for life. Lesson: Book an AirBNB instead. These people only value your money, and All Accor is not worth whatever you’ll pay for it. Thanks for reading my review. Arrived after 6pm middle of winter all windows where open so the room was like a freezer and I am guessing it was to try and disguise the disgusting smell in the room. No TV in the main bedroom. place was dated and the toilet paper dispenser was what you would find in a public toilet not what you would expect when you're paying close to $300 for a night. have been a member of the Accor group for many year and I would have to say this was one of the worse experiences.
