Aleesha Business - Confirmed reviews ALL

The atrium was lovely but the room was a disappointment. Superficially refreshed but the bathroom was grimy and I don’t think the room had a thorough clean in a while as when I moved the bedside table forward to reach a PowerPoint there were nail clipping and a zipper pouch amongst the dust and buildup. There was only shampoo and no conditioner available, nor moisturiser. As a frequent last minute traveller these things make a difference. People were constantly smoking right at the front door with only a small sign in English off the side stating No Smoking. Staff were not asking patrons to move away from the door to smoke and there were butts littered at the front entrance so waiting for an Uber was a pretty gross experience. Multiple bigger signs in multiple languages should be erected to prevent this and staff should be asking people to move off the property to smoke or have a designated smoking area. The bar service was often slow and one evening it took over 20mins to bring a wine and martini, despite it not being super busy. We also weren’t able to get drinks to the room after 10PM. There were no instructions when booking on how to get to the car park on Lorne St, which would’ve made check in much simpler. The Lorne St elevator was also stuck in fire service mode but there was no signage in the car park or the lobby to indicate this so there was a lot of time wasted going back and forth at both ends when a sign would have fixed the issue but asking guests to use the reception elevators. Not fun with multiple bags in tow.

The accommodation component was a high standard. The booking was for a group of 9 rooms (room 3319), and although I attempted to have your records amended so that each room occupant was responsible for their personal room costs I was unsuccessful. Firstly by phone prior to arrival, and then twice while staying at the Mecure. I was assured twice by your concierge staff that the records had been amended from "corp credit card" to "personal credit card" for each individual room, but twice I felt like the Mecure staff didn't really care to change the record. As a result, 2 of the rooms were debited to my card and I am now chasing people to repay me. I believe your staff need training in this area, I felt I was misled that if I was told BY YOUR STAFF "Yes I've changed the booking details" then that would get me "off their back". So my experience is less than satisfactory when it comes to fixing this problem.

We had booked 2 separate nights and had checked in online. On arrival there were no staff at priority desk initially, Guests ahead of me had some issues and it was 20 minutes before another staff member came out and assisted me. We had an issue of being locked out of our room due to the 2 reservations even though I was assured it was ok. We appreciated the upgrade to another room. Otherwise we enjoyed our stay although at times there were obviously new staff learning the ropes

Large comfy room, though strange noise early each morning woke me up. Bar very expensive.

Enjoyed the space of the King Suite

Your front staff were very helpful. Our only issue was there was no cups to make tea and no glasses to have a drink out of. We asked many times but did not get any help whatsoever. A shame as the rest of our stay was very good.
