Nice resort but needs to lift service

The resort has nice facilities, such as a generous sized rooms, a pool, restaurant, a spa, tennis courts and direct access to the beach. But, it was let down by service and lots of small disappointments. The bath in the room doesn’t have any soap, bubble bath or salts. The room service was average and the restaurant food only good and nothing more. The pool is crowded and one EV slow charger. Also had problems galore with Accor ALL membership benefits being denied and lots of back and forth that failed to resolve it - so denied all status tier benefits!

Had a Lakeview Villa, 1 day after our stay on special $200 cheaper Room was tired, furniture very weathered with timber tops cracking. Deck had rotten board, with bird poo on the glass Had Wagyu for dinner, ordered medium came medium rare was tough and stringy. Did not taste like waygu I have had in the past, quite disappointing

Terrace was very dirty, could not be used. Even after the maintenance team cleaned it. The pool area was also not well maintained, the covers on the daybeds very dirty and the side tables too. Also would be great to have a lounge or daybed on the terrace as there is no outdoor space to read a book or relax.

We have stayed at Bunker Bay many times over the years but this time we noticed a definite decline in staff morale and an overall drift to the Hotel being a bit mean and more petty. Other things include the fact that the room didn’t actually end up getting cleaned the entire time we were there. Despite us being out and about for large chunks of the day travelling around wineries Caves etc. the staff have an amazing ability to only turn up to clean the room when we finally return at the end of the day. Also, the discount policy at the restaurant seems to change every single time we go there’s always different rules.
