Nice Hotel. Refurbished rooms are the ones to book! Airconditioning is good in the room, and the Nespresso coffee machine was a bonus! Great for that coffee when you wake up in the morning! Hotel pool was closed for some renovations this time which was a bummer because the pools they have are awesome - day or night. As a Gold Accor Advantage Plus Member I am frustrated that I couldn't use my "welcome drink voucher" to get a coffee instead of alcohol. This frustrates me as other Accor Hotels allow this. Overall, a great Hotel and my preferred place to stay when visiting Cairns every couple of months.

Comfortable spacious room with couch and balcony. AC was quiet as was the room. Lots of space for toiletries and suitcases.great shower and comfortable beds with lots of pillow choices. Located across from a casino and walking distance to harbour and restaurants. Good included breakfast. Italian restaurant next door was excellent . Ate there twice. Highly recommend.

Expectations down the drain.

The aircondition drips are on the floor, part of the carpet soaked where it meets the tiles. I complained to reception and given another set of towels. Soaked up 2 towels and reported again about the drips in the morning. Got 2 new towels. No words could explain my frustration.

When you go into the Pullman reception area was clean, and decor was excellent. Staff were pleasant and helpful. But….. very disappointing with the room, extremely dated, no seating on the balcony. Fridge stocked with one kitkat and one mars bar, one can of sprite, Coca Cola and a few cans of other drinks. Which were not restocked. When mentioned on checking out we were informed that we were to let reception know to restock!!!!! Never had that before!!!!!! Hallway smelt of damp, carpet had green tape on, this was 15th floor. The plus side though excellent views of surrounding area. Pool area well kept on the grassed areas. But other area filthy, broken furniture and seems to a dumping ground! Pool itself nice size but looking into the pool itself areas where patchy and paint coming away. On checking out we informed the staff member and quite frankly she was not interested. She informed us that they were up to level 5 or 6 with the refurbishment. Quite frankly if we would have known that we would have gone elsewhere.

Let’s start with the positive- The hotel kindly accommodated our request for an early check in and gave us a nice size room (as we had booked). They also acknowledged the birthday celebration with a champagne and dessert which was very kind of them. The lady who brought the cake was very pleasant. Thank you. Housekeeping did a nice job each day and the room was clean and stocked. Having said that - The lady who checked us on had no customer service or hospitality skills. She did not greet us, hardly made any eye contact and was not happy to be helping us at all. It was the first impression and left us feeling very disappointed. The rooms are dated and tired. They are not sound proof so you hear people in rooms beside you and above you. The phones in the rooms did not work which are a security issue & probably lost them some room service sales as we could not order anything. We did report this to the reception but the lady brushed it off. The TV in the room did not work. It came on when we switched it on and then went blank. The bathroom shower worked fine but was taped to the pipe. 🙄 The first day we arrived the housekeeper got locked out on the balcony across the hallway. We tried to assist her but the door was jammed. Since the phones were not working in our room or the room she was cleaning we went downstairs to the front desk to report it and help her. Somebody arrived to assist her after beabout 10 mins. Wondering what would have happened to poor lady if we had not seen her. It was an ok stay. Nothing to write home about. There are better hotels for the same price. We chose this one for the location.
