Checked into room 714. Nice room with good views. Unfortunately the aircon for the entire hotel is above the room - sounds like a dishwasher going constantly. However, they moved us the next day to a similar room 1 floor down and it was perfect. Every member of staff we came into contact with was friendly and helpful and that is what makes a great hotel. The pool area is good as well. And they have live entertainment some nights

the hotel was a great place , room was OK on the surface, however we were placed on the third floor (effectively ground floor ) the room was located opposite their other hotel across the road directly opposite , although the room was OK size wise , the floor location turned out to be very noisy , from various causes, 1. There is a car park exit directly outside our room and as any car exits it runs over two metal plates and creates an extremely loud double metallic clanging noise it stops around 1 am but on busy social nights it horrendous between 7 till 11, as the area around this location is a popular playground , you will hear the local ferrals screaming loudly up to around 1 am , and we were sleeping with ear plugs , the condition of the room left a lot to be desired and was filthy especially the verandah , totally unable to sit out there and enjoy what we paid for ,(we eventually had to ask the front desk to attend to it , they only just did the minimum) our thoughts are as we booked through LE's , for a deal , we think that the chain (as well as others) give their unfurbished rooms to these third party operators ( this is only our thoughts as this has happened at other venus ) we stayed for a week and persevered . But on the day we were to fly home , for unrelated reasons we had to stay another 5 days , and could not get the same deal so we negotiated a new price , and told them we could not stay in the same room and although dearer we went to the 7 th floor (top) in a much larger room it was noticeably cleaner but not really much quieter , this is the casino hotel so it has its benefits , but you can find yourself in the pokies and gambling areas far to conviently , the breakfast area was strangely located in the walkway to the casino , so there wad always people just walking through whilst you trying to eat ??? Breakfast menu was ordinary after a week eating the same stuff with very little options , coffe was good . On the plus side the doorman Mathew was above excellent as was a few other front of house staff. So if you stay there , be aware and ask for a room off the road and up higher , and also be aware that their sister hotel across the road seemed to be a slightly better class of hotel for the same price so don't get mixed up do your home work

Great location, good base for Cairns

| Location | Convenient location! E.g. ~5 mins' walk closed to the cruise terminal for visiting the Great Barrier Reef, ~20 mins' walk to Cairns Central to take the Kuranda Scenic Railway to Kuranda. You can pretty much walk to most places within Cairns in 15-20 mins. It's also not too far from the airport; an Uber ride from/to the airport won't break the bank. | Room | The room was fine, and the photos on Tripadvisor reflect what it looked like. We slept OK, and had the necessary shower facilities. For what we got, I'd consider the price slightly on the higher side but not outrageously so. | Service | The hotel has a pillow menu! We had requested a couple of different pillows and requested some towels on our second night here; we had stayed a total of five nights. Housekeeping brought it up right away both times. We appreciated the quick service! | Lobby | One thing I'd mention is that the moment you walk into the hotel lobby, it smells like cologne. It's a very masculine smell, and prominent throughout the lobby. I am allergic to perfume, so something like that throws me off and could get me sick. Thank goodness it's only in the lobby so I can get by via covering my nose and quickly running into the elevator. Hotel management, if you're reading this, please consider doing away with the cologne smell in the lobby!

Awesome Staff - Terrific Accommodation

We called the Pullman Reef Casino late in the afternoon to ask if they had a room for a few nights, after we had to abruptly leave another accommodation in town that was not very nice. Katrina the young lady welcomed us and found a lovely room for myself and my mother. The staff couldn't have been nicer. Our room (Room 201 on second floor) was awesome. So clean and tidy. Another staff member came each night to turn our beds down and leave a chocolate for us! We luved the big toweling bath robes available for us to wear. Overall, a wonderful experience. Breakfast and dinner in the Casino downstairs were great. Would definitely stay here again. Matthew the concierge was lovely, he took care of our vehicle, and so was the young Japanese man who was working there as well helping visitors.

Nice hotel just need some fixing

The hotel is nice and the staff are very helpful and attentive especially Matthew in the concierge. He is amazing, helpful and friendly. The room is big and nice. I think they need to pay more attention to the details that need fixing. Attached the pictures from our shower. To be 5 star these things should not be allowed. Breakfast is one downside and this will probably make me not come back. The area where they serve breakfast does not even look like a restaurant. Don't get me wrong the staff tried their best but most of the hotels have buffet style which i personally prefer. One more thing is the aircon temperature in the room is only set at 19,5 degrees and no matter how I tried they stay the same . Overall it is a nice hotel but needs some fixing.
