The deluxe pool access is so lovely. The vibe, the ambience, and the view in the hotel are amazing. I’m very satisfied but would be extremely satisfied if the hotel offered me complimentary breakfast. :)

We had a standard room and were so disappointed, cause the room was just dirty ! Bathroom and shower full of mold , room windows so dirty , nightable at the bed dirty , really felt uncomfortable and big hygienical issues

Useless and incompetent reception but nice people

When the hotel is so isolated and in such a small "town", it is absolutely necessary to be able to withdraw and exchange money. This is not possible at the Mercure Hideaway. No one knows anything about their own surroundings - neither at the reception nor at the hotel itself, which means that as an ignorant tourist you visit attractions outside of opening hours. Example: My family wanted to go to Bangbao to shop in the small shops on the pier and ordered a taxi at the reception for 6:30 PM, even though the shops' opening hours are from about 12 PM to 6 PM - therefore they unnecessarily spent their time and not least 2 x 1000 baht on this strange trip. Example: I tried to book a minivan directly from the hotel to Bangkok Airport, but was referred to the hotel's tour manager just outside the hotel - the manager's answer to my inquiry (he was sleeping on the floor when I approached him) was that nowhere on the island could transport to Bangkok Airport be found at times other than 6:30 PM. 08:30 AM. I was supposed to leave at the earliest at 03:00 PM and went straight out onto the street and found a taxi driver who immediately provided me with the desired transport. In short - very nice staff at the hotel, but incompetent and a reception with at least 4 people present, where they could only give us our bill, which we could then pay and call for a local taxi - really too bad for such an expensive hotel with very expensive food and drinks.

We are a successful Travel Agency ( over 28 years ) so we know exactly what we are booking. We have stayed in Mercure / Accor hotels several times in the world, this has never happened before. Shame on Mercure Koh Chang Hideway. 1/ We booked 3 standard rooms - we read every room description. Unfortunately we didn't notice that there was no balcony ( only on site ) of course they couldn't change the rooms there because the hotel was full. Although we were angry, we accepted that we were careless and so we did not have a balcony. 2/ But the view and the windows we had were a disgrace to the hotel !!! The windows of the rooms were not transparent / 1 room was . but we were looking straight at a dirty roof and wall , half a meter from the window !!! This is not written anywhere in the room description. This is a total deception of the guest Like a travel agent (1 person of 6) we visit a lot of hotels every year to give our passengers an accurate picture. Mercure should be ashamed of itself because it has refused to even acknowledge compensation. At every workshop, at every trade meeting, at every tourism exhibition, we will publish long reports on Mercure's incorrect behaviour. Photos will be attached as evidence.

Hotel was ok. Our room 1401 location was not so good. It was close to sever and when we open our door to our terrace all the bad smell was in our room. Pool area was nice, but maybe there was something in the water because our daughter got some skin reaction from the water and she was not the only one. Gym was quite ok and it was perfectly located close to kids play area wich is good when you traveling with kids.
