Plymouth2007 Couples - TripAdvisor review

Friendly welcome. As we are Silver All Accor Members we received a complimentary upgrade to Room 423 which is a Privilege Room facing the river. Room was huge, quiet with a large comfy bed, coffee machine, bathrobes and slippers. Shower was good. Location perfect for bars/restaurants, shops etc and for Inverness Train Station, less than a 10 minute walk. Would stay again if in Inverness

Really tired and “broken down” hotel. Very odd smell in the basement of the hotel as you enter from the car park that is also present in the reception. The reception area was also freezing and dimly lit, giving it a strange feel. The bathrooms off reception also did not work properly (unable to flush toilets). Our room had a very overwhelming smell of bleach, to the point it was stinging our eyes. The pool table and cues were damaged, requiring us to lift the table for it to work properly. Staff had no coins to offer guests to exchange to be able to to play. It felt at times there was no senior staff present and hotel was being managed by very junior staff. Overall it feels as though the hotel could do with some upgrading and care.

Nice room with a good view over the river. Decor could do with refreshing but clean and tidy. Lovely big walk in shower. Staff all really helpful. I especially liked the magnifying mirror in the bathroom.

Well located room small double, lifts work well and staff are helpful. No gym as advertised on the website which was disappointing and restaurant very busy unable to get table on my first night out of 3 due to an event taking place.

No Hot water in the room

I was staying in Inverness for a Christmas works function on the 14th. The room was very pleasant and clean, service was excellent at reception. When I went to use the shower in the morning there was no hot water it was stone cold. i was disappointed with this as i was limited for time in the morning and it wasn't something i was expecting to have to deal with. I have had to score down based on this basic function, otherwise it was a pleasant stay at the hotel and the room was excellent standard.
