Hotel lovely and central location, restaurants, shops etc all within easy walking distance. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Only one disappointment was that the facilities of the pool etc were not available.

On arrival asked front desk any restrictions for the leisure , no restrictions but the pool was unavailable as filter was getting next day. Daughter had ordered your staff to leave a bottle of wine and 4bottles beer which they did but no beer opener. Had to use out house keys. Room was 255 and never in my life will I stay there again. Toilet was t clean and when we opened curtains we were above a flat roof for ventilation from below us (maby laundry) but was full of seagulls and baby chicks which squeaked right out side our window miring noon an night. Nightmare as we couldn’t open the window as noise was bad. Someone in room above us was feeding them so they stayed there constantly. I’ve got asthma and joe two heart attacks so fresh air would have been good but not to be as soon as you went to window they were there. All night it was bad. We were supposed to go to leisure at 7.30 next morning but because we hadn’t slept all night we were out your hotel as soon as and got the very early bus back to Glasgow. Never in all my stays at this hotel have I had a problem and out floor was full of young people carrying dishes were we in a hostel? ? We ran out of milk and went and bought creamers from shop we never saw housekeeping once which was strange. Is this hotel a hostel. We have went during covid restrictions and very much enjoyed it but no never again . We were going into building and front door was full of young ones and defo think this has really went downhill so we went home and booked the grand central hotel in Glasgow for the weekend and also see what nice hotels are offering . We have been going to mercure for years and just to chill but we couldn’t open our window and we’re suffocating with the heat. On handing in our keys the receptionist just said thank you see you again. Not even how was your stay? Has your hotel and I say that lightly been turned into a hostel. Your staff seem to have given up also. Shame . Where was your house keeping because your bathroom in 255 needed a good scrub and I’m not really that fussy but where was your tape over the toilet seat that we always get . Think the young ones got better rooms than us. So please your hotel now should be named as a hostel not hotel . For a hotel to be full we saw a handful of foreign speaking people carrying dishes about and I said something not right here were is house keeping and I wasn’t phoning down to front desk for milk that’s why we bought it we usually see house keeping on floor and ask them . And to finish my rant off we asked to book leisure at 8 in morning and 5 at night and was told could only book it once a day. Why no restrictions we had already phoned up before booking and was told this. The pools filter broken and will be fixed next day the there’s a sign to say it’s broken . Come on the place was empty and we should have just took any hotel and used Ayrs pool up the road or went to the Fairfield were we have stayed before. I’m sorry to say your hotel (hostel) is over priced for what you as a company offered.

Well located, but parking a nightmare.
