Great hotel on outskirts of York. All staff very pleasant and welcoming. Food great, good breakfast selection well cooked. Room we had was alot larger than the average hotel room. Window opened unlike in some modern hotels so room was cool. Fan also provided in room if needed. Large free car park. Wife and I got uber cab into towm centre for £8. Would defo use this hotel again if visiting York as good value and great customer experience.

Room was far to hot window had to be left open and because of location next fans/generator and was very noisy

We booked to stay over on Friday night before our trip to York races on Saturday. On arrival Friday tea time there was plenty of parking,check in was quick as we had already paid. We ended up booking through booking .com and not directly with the hotel as booking.com was £30 cheaper. Lovely reception area,we were on the first floor close to reception so there was some noise coming from that area. Rooms were a little dated and no safe in the room but comfortable and adequate for either 1 or 2 nights. There was a lipstick mark on the tiles in the bathroom which had been missed by housekeeping which I wiped off. Breakfast was excellent,buffet breakfast was really good,and the best coffee machines I have ever seen and we stay in a lot of hotels. Excellent choice of breakfast items to cater for all diets. It was warm in the room but a fan is provided in the room. We didn’t eat at the hotel that night we drove out to a place nearby.We appreciated a little later check out as 11am was a little too early for us as we were getting ready for the races after breakfast. Would definitely stay here again if we need to stay in this area again. The staff we came across were pleasant & friendly especially the check in staff.

Just our favourite location for a visit to York. Great rooms, great staff. Spacious lounge and dining areas with good food and drink at a competitive price.

Would have been a 10 , but as diamond members we had a free drinks voucher as always and you embarrassed us by giving us a tiny glass of wine , the smallest we have ever had around the world and believe me we have only ever had great drinks as part of our loyalty reward , you have a great place and lovely people but your reward for our loyalty was embarrassingly small , in fact I hid my glass away from other guests as it looked ridiculous. Very mean of you .
