Great place to stay on the Seafront Very artistic decorations and the stair case is amazing brilliant staff very helpful from front desk and waitress a big shout out to the night manager for dealing with some noisy guests in the early hours great breakfast to suit all needs

Robert3856 Solo travel - TripAdvisor review

I stayed at the Mercure Brighton Seafront Hotel for the weekend as I am booked in there for Christmas. The room that I had was nice and spacious. There was a Nespresso machine in the room. This is The Maids however did NOT replenish you with milk and sugar etc. I had room 159 in the Mews wing of the Hotel. Unfortunately there are no lifts in that part of the Hotel. In the bathroom there was no plug in the sink. Is this like Soviet Russia where you have to bring your own? The hair conditioner was on the wall on the other side of the sink. So how can you use it? I did have problems when I checked in, but Marga was able to sort out my problems. Most of the staff that I met were all so friendly and helpful, I am of course including all of the boys and girls that we do not see without whom the Hotel would not run so smoothly.

We appreciated it very much that management and staff maintained a high standard of service during the days before, during and after the Queen's funeral. Operationally, it must have been a difficult time. We enjoyed our stay very much and expect to stay at Mercure Brighton again.

Noisey Hotel

The hotel looked great, the staff were amazing and the food was great but I didn’t sleep despite having a luxurious room 410. The noise from the conference guests travelled up the stairs and was booming until after midnight. There was also an American guest in the room next door doing virtual business calls until the early hours and I could hear every word through the thin walls. I rang reception to complain but I could still hear the noise. I think I got about two hours sleep and was shattered the next day. The lovely shower also needs fixing as there was hardly any water coming out.

The team at this hotel went above and beyond to make my stay exactly what I wished it was! A very warm welcome and a friendly check in. Maria and Michael who were working the day I checked in were exceptionally friendly and polite and provided the best welcome I have recieved in a hotel. With great knowledge of the local area, they were both able to reccomend places to go and see as well as all the little things they did to ensure my stay was perfect. A truly bespoke and personal service from this hotel by 2 excellent individuals.
