I have recently been staying at Burford Bridge whilst away with work. The staff here are/were fantastic. Despite all that is going on with regards to the Coronavirus outbreak, the staff remained attentive and utterly professional. I was speaking to one of the staff this morning and he informed me it was his last shift, due to the decline in trade. One night this week I found out I was the only guest in the hotel. Again, the service was 'normal' I would encourage the company to stand by their staff here and ensure that if there are any job losses, they are invited back once trade picks up

We needed a short break away and the Mercure Box Hill Burford Bridge Hotel was ideal. A quiet room and with with Hotel a short walk (up hill) to the lovely views from Box Hill is just what we needed.

Room and facilities good Bar unfortunately not serving draft beer for night only Dinner great service impeccable Breakfast again good service great buffet could be hotter but unfortunately this seems the same at all hotels but unlike most we stayed at we were offered fresh eggs cooked or individual breakfast cooked fresh at a extra cost

If it wasn't for the staff who were very good and responsive then we would have disappointed. The bed was uncomfortable and the 4 pillows too hard. We managed to swap them. The room was very clean. The food was ok.

The room was great - clean and as expected. As a executive room it would have been nice to have double the shower gel and shampoo - one bottle doesn’t quite cover two people. Sadly, we had to have our breakfast in the morning in the foyer as the restaurant was full from a wedding. This hadn’t been mentioned when we checked in - despite us hearing the music until midnight. Presuming that weddings happen often it was disappointing that the hotel didn’t seem prepared to deal with everyone. Check out equally took a long time to get to the end of the queue.

Staff wonderfully courteous couldn’t be more helpful We upgraded our room only to find our original room was a better standard and within the main hotel the bathrooms in the upgraded room had we stayed there would have to have been re-cleaned so we moved back to the original room Just felt the hotel it’s self was a bit tired there was also a problem with the electronic keys But overall would still recommend

The hotel was good and the room very nice, but the customer service was terrible. There was a wedding on and because some had stayed overnight those who were not in there wedding party were pushed to a corner, like second class citizens. When we came to check out there was no one there - the one person had been called away and it seems strange that at their busiest time they have limited staff. I received my bill by email and was overcharged - I replied to the email and challenged it - I am still waiting (a week later) for a reply - obviously encouraging customers to return is not in their strategy. Fortunately, I was passing by later on and had to go in and sort it out.

I booked a superior room for a 1 night stay for a wedding. The outside of the hotel as you arrive is nothing to look at. Could do with a re vamp. We were disappointed with our room as we paid a lot of money and was not much different to a Premier Inn. We had a mini fridge with complimentary Pepsi but couldn't open the bottles due to no bottle opener.

Great location, lovely room facing garden to the rear. Very dusty glass light stem light fitting to LHS of bed, partially blocked sink, not running away instantly. Unfortunately, no beers on tap, just bottled on offer. Meal and breakfast good, overall stay enjoyable.

We were there for a workshop. Heavy refurbishment was being undertaken in the floor above. The noise was disruptive. We had to ask to move to another room. Our request was accommodated. However the new room was very large and cold. Although we had preordered all our food for the evening meal we had to wait almost an hour for our starter and an hour for our main course. This is unacceptable. All in all not a good experience for a workshop venue.

As 3 stayg in room only 2 mugs. Emailed earlier vegan coming but not much selection as as i am vegetarian no vegi sausages. Need new toaster. When fire alarm woke us would have been nice to have apology instead hearg staff member say it was shower but dont tell them that. We were on weddg trip

Hotel in good position to venture out. Clean and comfortable room. A little tired in places but did not affect my stay in the hotel. I was only there for a stop over so cannot comment on the facilities. The staff were very polite and friendly. The room was booked through the company I work for which mentioned on its site that breakfast was included in the rate so I went to the restaurant area for breakfast where I was taken to a table, no menu provided and I could not see any cost of breakfast mentioned so although my company booking note did not actually state breakfast included I assumed it was. A self service buffet was laid out with cereals fruit and hot food etc. I only had a few chunks of melon a bowl of cereal and cup of tea. When I checked out I was charged £15.50 for breakfast so I queried the charge but was politely advised the rate paid did not include breakfast. The reason I mention all this is that the room was £130 + £15.50 breakfast so I do not think it is value for money for this hotel.
