I stayed the night and booked the Lady Hamilton room for my team meeting with 12 attendees so spent £470+ in total. I ordered the sandwiches lunch at £9.95 per head, so in total paid £120 for 12 people for a very small amount of sandwiches and chips which was surprising given the high cost of the food menu. On booking I had also requested 1 x vegan option which was completely forgotten about and had to be made in addition at lunchtime. The lunch looked like something I had made at home and brought in. The man working on duty lunchtime on Wednesday 18th Feb was quite dismissive of the issues although he did arrange more sandwiches to be made & brought out. There wasn't an apology for our disappointment/inconvenience so I am presuming this is the standard of lunch that is always served. There is a lot of competition for conference rooms in the area, some really high quality. Based on this I wouldn't book to hold my meeting here again, even though our head office is only down the road so it is convenient. On check out the lady at the desk said someone would be in touch regarding my dissatisfaction which nobody has been. My recommendation would be the Horsley Estate if you're looking for a conference room in the area.

Quick and very welcoming check in with Karima + big car park! Great spacious, clean room. Well maintained, no issues, good power shower. Very nice atmosphere in the bar and restaurant. Great and well presented cocktails prepared by Gabriel. Restaurant service very good and efficient. Food was lovely even though menu was limited to valentines special. Good breakfast in the morning. Definitely recommended and we want to come back during summer to check the pool! Thank you very much!

River mole flooded . My sons playing in unsanitary conditions etc. Unsafe environment- trip hazards - open cellars etc Tv / internet down due to flood No real communication about situation. Believe from Talking with unpaid contractors/ etc that potentially flood damage wasn’t stopped as possible benifit of insurance paid for refurb. Unwatered damaged furniture being skipped by poorly paid staff . Morally objectionable

Really nice welcome. Communal spaces are looking a bit tired and worn. Excellent size room with great shower and perfect (firm) and extremely large bed. Dinner was slightly disappointing but breakfast was even more so and certainly not up to previous visits.

Enjoyable stay on half board (Valentine's day meal) - my wife was disappointed not to receive a rose thereafter which is usually the norm. One minor moan, but no big deal, we booked a superior room which included a free newspaper which we had to ask for, and your receptionist was under the impression that this was not included in our deal and I had to show my reservation paperwork which confirmed.

Terrible food was cold chips hard, towels off white very poor, was not the room in the photo we had . looked very tired room not worth £240.00 for two night Our second day we did not eat at all in the hotel ate our for dinner and breakfast.

I stayed for two nights. The first night, I was freezing cold and couldn't adjust the temperature, and was woken early by the noisy traffic (I was at the front of the building). I asked to be moved to a different room for my second night, which I was, and the room was much less noisy. Again, the temperature was not to my liking and I couldn't adjust the thermostat. The windows in the second room were very old, and I'm not sure they even locked as the wooden frames didn't seem to fit properly. The staff were very nice and professional, as were the bar staff. Breakfast was satisfactory.

Room 302 was cozy, and well kept. I liked that you could open the windows. Location of the hotel is perfect. Birds singing in the morning was lovely. Bathroom satisfactory, basic toiletries provided. Room cleaned daily. Comfortable bed, and a generally good sized room. Felt spacious. I was happy with the breakfast too. WiFi good. All staff were very friendly.

Safe was locked and staff couldn't unlock it. Wash basin almost blocked. Toilet flush stopped working. Tea/coffee facilities hidden in wardrobe. Mini bar fridge door could be opened an inch or two - blocked by the safe. Window security cables not attached/locked. Room was far too hot and heating could not be turned off.

The restaurent only had one vegan option which was the usual choice that restaurents who can't be bothered always offer - it was mushroom risotto , it tasted nice but was all rice and i would say less than half a mushroom chopped up , frankly this is a standard rip off i experience in many establishments - its not hard to make an effort and if you must offer the same as everybody else at least use plenty of mushrooms. Breakfast was pretty usual i had beans mushrooms and hash browns , no vegan sausage option. I had booked to stay with my wife but she was unable make it at the last minute so when I had breakfast i made it clear she wasn't with me , on check out I wasn't offered a bill to see to check , I said email it and I could check it later - I didn't receive the bill by email , so I phone the next day and asked if the bill had charged me for 2 breakfasts , the answer was yes , I was told it would be corrected , I confirmed you had the correct email address but it is now Thursday ( I stayed Monday night) and I still have no idea what I was charged for. so frankly I wont be staying with you again

We received a very friendly welcome, the staff were very kind and helpful. Alas our experience of the main restaurant was not up to normal standards. It took over half an hour to receive our starter and two hours before we completed the meal, one meal was served on a cold plate and the meal (curry) itself was like something out of a packet and hardly warm. The other meal ( Gammon) was not at all well presented and not hot. Regrettably we felt our second night’s meal was not going to be in the hotel restaurant . On returning to the hotel from a funeral our room was still dealt with by a cleaner at approximately 15:30 so we had to go to the bar area for tea and there we stayed for about 45 minutes, when we returned to the room the bed was hardly made into a tidy appearance nor had the carpet been hoovered, in fact I found three Christmas labels sticking out from under the cabinet!! It was a very disappointing site. We were left with two tea bags (normal flavour) For our return and two pots of milk, rather mean in quantity. If the cleaner and the chief had been as efficient as your other staff it would have been an enjoyable stay. Do hope you will take the issues I have raised to those responsible for spoiling our stay. However we were given a discount of £25:00 for which we were grateful. Thank you for your attention Teresa R.
