Dissapointing

The hotel wasnt very clean and was very tired and dated but it was the noise that was the main issue as firstly wedding guests were screaming and shouting outside our window and then a delivery wagon was below our window at 11 pm banging and making so much noise waking everyone up including my 2 year old son.

Avoid ! Filthy dirty grim room

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in . Absolutely filthy . The whole room was scruffy and out dated and dirty . I travel a lot and this was disgusting. Pubic hair on the bath . Sticky sides in the bathroom . Mouldy windows . Hair in the bath . Cracks in the bath . Bed pushed up against the wall . Awful .

Deborah C Families - TripAdvisor review

I stayed here on 9th August with my mum. We booked 2 rooms & I had my little dog with me. My mum was given a fairly decent room but the room that I was given was awful - I have seen cleaner kennels. I complained & they did later find me a different room that was better & closer to my mum however the cleanliness & hygiene was well below par. But then at the end of August I received a parking fine from the hotel saying that I had parked illegally despite entering my car registration on arrival. I rang the hotel to which I was told to email with the details & they would cancel the fine which I did. After no response I emailed a second time whilst away on holiday. Still no response. I have now been issued with a higher fine from a debt collector for £170. We have contacted the hotel a further twice & still no reply. This customer service is absolutely diabolical and they do not deserve any customers.

Nice surroundings, a few areas needing attention.

extractor. Having done so, the room didn't clear after shower and never heard the extractor running at all?! No way to turn the heated towel rail on in the bathroom; no switch or knob/handle. When we arrived the room was cold. There was traditional big radiator under the window. Despite turning this up it didn't come on, the radiator was always stone cold. The room or ourselves did heat up, but how is a mystery. Presence of radiator in room would indicate you could control the temperature, but wasn't the case. One of the sockets over the dressing table/desk area just needed a screw driver at it, the outer plate was wonky and moving as you plugged/unplugged things, with 1 or 2 screws working loose. A simple thing would expect a chambermaid to notice when unplugging the kettle etc to put the room back at changeover. On the main stairway carpet for 2 days there were leaves on the stairs. Yes an unwelcome thing during autumn, but would have expected several members of staff to be up and down the stairs in this time and noticed, if not part of a regular clean. Near the top of these stairs I also noticed a slug trail on one step. We would stay again however, not liking to leave a low rating, above mentioned things did taint. Would allow some time for improvements before returning. It's the simple little things that would expect to be kept on top of. Especially for a "privelege" room.
