Hotel is old, rundown. Rooms are tiny, underwhelming, definitely below the standards of even a budget hotel. Extremely bad soundproofing - noise from adjoining rooms could be heard. Dirty windows, bathrooms. Late check-in beyond the regular check in times, even though early check-in was requested. WiFi is pathetic and did not work in rooms. Rooms did not have drinking water, glasses, telephone or a mini fridge. Breakfast was mediocre, the only positive was the serving staff, who were accommodating.

There was a differnce between what was booked and what was available at the property, I booked an accessible room but none available in the hotel which was also undergoing refurbishment. Fire alarm went off, Fire Brigade came and then lifts out of action for ages. No extention lead available for medical equipment.

We have visited this hotel on numerous occasions and have always found the staff very friendly and accomodating. On this visit we were upgraded at no extra cost and got complimentary parking. The beds are comfortable and the breakfast is lovely. It's location is perfect and we wouldn't stay anywhere else
