I made the room reservation via email, Alex Davies was very helpful in ensuring my stay went well and the team worked very hard to allow me to check-in as I had arrangements in the evening. The room was clean and was excellent for the 2 nights I spent there. I very thankful to Alex for providing great customer service throughout my stay, will visit again ! :)

Stayed here in the past a few times on business. I won’t stay again until there’s been some money spent on it. It’s quite rundown now, from the rooms, toilets and everything really. If you have to stay here, try and get a room that isn’t over the tram stop, it was past 1am when they finally stopped or I fell asleep. They are very noisy.

I booked a room over the phone, I spoke to Alex Davies who assisted me with my booking as I had special requirements. During check in the Staff at Reception acknowledged my requirements which i mentioned to Alex over the phone. Alex was on late shift the day of my arrival and on dinner table he came and asked if i am comfortable with my stay and anything he can do. I must say his customer service skills and approaching to Customer is excellent. He is Asset for the company.

I had to change rooms from the tenth floor as there was so much condensation on the window as well as dirty sill (see photos). I was put in a room on 9th floor which was freezing. They don't tell you the air con/heating doesn't work as this is being replaced and you need to use the small portable heaters which i had to leave on all night. This room also had condensation and my friends. My room had no safe. My friend asked to move as she her safe didn't work. Same in the next room. She woke up frozen as she had no heating and no heaters provided. We both had to make trips down to reception to as the door key stops working. You spend a lot of time waiting for lifts as one is out of action and it is a very busy hotel. The staff keep asking you to do a good review of them in return for prosecco or "hand made coffee". I don't see this as a 4* hotel. They should be offering reduced rates until they renovate the rooms, the heating and key system. The staff are helpful when you complain but it shouldn't be like that. So many hotels I am sure you could do much better. It wasn't cheap.

Well my husband and I have been to this hotel a few times the staff and service is 2nd to none, this visit was just for a drink in the bar overlooking Piccadilly gardens great place to watch the world go by, we were served by SAM his service, respect and manor was amazing he made our visit very special as it was our 42 wedding anniversary we really enjoyed the time we spent there, mercure hotel you should be very proud of SAM he is lovely, we will definitely be back.
