Very enjoyable stay

Stayed at the hotel for one night as a birthday treat and really enjoyed the stay. On arrival we were checked in by Abbie and a colleague who were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the suite which was very clean and spacious. Some reviews mention the hotel being dated but we actually liked the retro character of the hotel which did not affect the quality of the stay. There was plenty of parking, the food was good and apart from the odd emergency services sirens passing on the ring road the hotel was very quiet. There was a good selection for breakfast and the staff were very polite, helpful, and enthusiastic.

We stay at the Mercure for two -three nights to visit family and always feel welcome. The beds are comfortable and the buffet breakfasts offer a wide selection of hot and cold food.
