I really enjoyed my weekend at the Fairmont. The room was good - always clean and makes you feel good to arrive and be there. I was surprised by the quality of the food - top class both at the function dinner and in the restaurant. The staff were always lovely. Thank you.

The resort was great. There's only bad experience when we checked in as the receptionist is not friendly, helpful and doesn't seem to know what she's doing. Did not listen to what we're saying and did not tell us anything we need to know about the resort. On top of what I should pay based on my online booking she has charged me the breakfast without even asking me. The treatment was very unfriendly and rude. Apart from the bad experience of checking in, all other things were great.

It would be good if you can provide guests with bottle water instead of having to buy them at the nearest supermarket. The nearest supermarket is possibly 3 km away so it is not convenient to walk there in the dark of the night.

Great for kids - house keeping below par

We came for our daughter’s 8th birthday and she loved it. Reception and restaurant staff were friendly and there were lots of activities for her. The rooms however are very expensive for what you get and the standard of housekeeping is poor. There were food crumbs on the floor of our room when we arrived and they were still there after housekeeping had been the next day. Our beds were made up but our pillow was left on the floor (yes - the dirty floor that had not been cleaned). At almost $500 a night I expected a nicer and cleaner room and flawless housekeeping.

Disappointing stay

Arrived Thursday afternoon Booked dinner at Embers Restaurant (food good) 80 people walked through the restaurant while we are eating dinner (School formal) noisy not what you would expect from this restaurant. Friday night same as the night before Saturday night - Wedding outside loud and noisy in our room till 10pm when I believe the police were called due to noise complaint. (multiple) Spoke to reception manager next morning. This is unacceptable in our opinion as we were planning a quite relaxing couple of days. The Resort is tied and through -out the complex you can see the neglect. Tennis courts not available for use and general condition very tied. We are ACCOR members; we didn't enjoy the experience over the 3 days. This would have to be the worst 3 days we have experience on a short break.
