- disappointing all kids activities were cancelled, reason given was bad weather, however there was only light rain throughout the weekend. Seemed more like an excuse rather than being for “safety” reasons. Could assess on a case by case basis rather than a blanket cancellation. - rooms are feeling dated, due for a renovation. Bathroom had a smell - kids zone activities should be included / free, would be good to have ice skating as an inclusion as well. - great location, warm feel. - would be good to have more capacity for in-house restaurants. - good selection of activities for families

Extremely disappointed in our recent stay at Fairmont. We were put in a room right next to the elevators and all you could hear were people talking, kids running up the corridors and every other type of noise you can imagine. A bellman entered our room without knocking. The room overlooked the pool but as you looked straight down, there was an abandoned garden off a room with rubbish left behind - not a great sight to be looking at on your little getaway. Not to mention, all you could see was a man cleaning up paint flakes that had come off the building. The resort is very dated and needs a major upgrade on basic things such as paint, flooring and elevators. I was extremely disappointed as I stayed here in July 2023 and our room was quite pleasant. Probably wouldn’t rebook here.

It was a grand resort and the staff have high customer service skills. From the 2 Doctors Whiskey bar to the indoor pool, spa and sauna, it was a delight to stay at the Fairmont Resort.

Overall a really nice stay. There could be more consideration for people with food intolerances. My wife is a coeliac and choices for her were limited. Even the food listed a gluten free on the menu were not really gluten free.

The staff are fabulous and the buffet breakfast is great. However the rooms are getting old and need some love. The Italian restaurants food was awful. No taste.
