Business trip. Denied check-in, since the duty manager seemed to make up her own migration laws. Finally accepted to check-in after a full hour of hassle. Really bad. And the next day power outage for hours on end. The evacuation stairs are without emergency light, which is very unsafe & supposedly a breach of the law.

As USUAL very good location for my duty trips to Moscow! Clean and comfortable room and bed! Unable to understand of online-check-in and online check-out??? no separate line/officer?! You have to sign same papers as w/o this "fast" procedures?! You have to wait for printing out the bill...(((

Room was small even with the nice upgrade provide by the very nice and efficient staff. Place is walking distance from subway station (2 stops from kremlin as instance) recommande the place for a short stay 3/4 days.

I have stayed in this hotel before and I recommend it to other people. This time I had two negative comments: 1. In the street outside, all of the pavements were being dug up which made walking dirty, awkward and mildly unsafe - but of course there is nothing the hotel could have done about this. 2. My friend (also staying in the same hotel) was greatly inconvenienced because your reception staff demanded he produce the same credit card which had been used to pay for the booking. He could not do this because the card had expired. The hotel staff insisted that he had to cancel the booking and make a new one using his current card. They said they would refund the money to the original card, but he was worrying that it might not work because the card doesn't exist any more. Exactly the same thing happened to me last year (autumn 2018). In my case I was able to verify to staff the previous payment by going into online banking and finding it. This caused me significant inconvenience. I registered a complaint afterwards via this survey. I am sorry to see that this practice still continues. It is the only hotel (including other Accor hotels) where I have encountered this system of insisting to see "original" payment cards. It can be extremely upsetting for guests to arrive and find that the hotel is threatening to turn them away if their card number has changed. I very much hope that the hotel management will do something to stop this unreasonable practice.
