The room is too small, the bathroom seems to be like íbis budget, it’s not soo comfort in general terms. The atendes needs better trainings. They are inflexible for silver member.

Stayed 3 nights and overall impression is good. Rooms are clean, bedding good and breakfast was good. I also had the possibility of late checkout 4pm which was appreciated considering my flight was at 10pm.

Overal the hotel in quite good. The rooms are small but clean and confortable . The staff is friendly. The only problem one day after bed changing one shirt of my little daughter was missing and it was lost and nobody could find it. Neither a couple of receptionist and the housekeeping staff even they try. So be careful with your belongings in the room. Regarding the beach staff was average, the chairs and umbrellas were old and not so good, I would suggest renovate it. The breakfast was really good.

Barra da Tijuca is not exactly a tourist hotspot. Barra is a quite new and safe part of Rio, known for the Olympics. With that in mind, the Novotel Barra da Tijuca is perfectly located right by the beach (posto 7). The beach is much longer than Copacabana, and we found the water to be cleaner. Fabi, who did our check-in, is perfect for the job: she was professional, well-prepared, friendly, did give helpful recommendations and made loyal Accor customers feel very appreciated. The oceanview room 771 was really comfortable with a beautiful view, even though the windows could have been cleaner. We did appreciate the luxurious shower with optional rainforest shower head. The pool on the top level seemed really inviting, even though we did not go there except for a quick tour at the beginning of our stay. With the ocean right in front of the hotel and the possibility to rent beach towels, umbrellas and beach chairs free of charge, that seemed the better choice and was really convenient. Breakfast selection was OK, nothing to write home about, but not bad either. It was a bit annoying however, that they constantly seemed to run out of clean glasses. The bicycle rental is an excellent idea, but the price seemed a bit high. We only had two let-downs: once our in-room safe stopped working (it simply did not respond any more), but after a call to reception, a technician appeared within minutes and fixed it immediately, so in fact that problem turned out as a positive example for crisis management. The other problem, however, was a very bad example for crisis management: the A/C in our room stopped working on the early morning of our last day at the hotel, and it got warmer and warmer in our room. We called the front desk and also told them three times throughout that day, but nothing changed. When we finally checked out at 3pm (we had a late checkout), the A/C still was not working. That was a rather disappointing ending for an otherwise really delightful stay.

For the price, I really expected the default service I am used to meet at Novotel. I got very disappointed to the quality of the food in lunch and breakfast. also, the conservation of the building and facilities are far off comparing to Porto Alegre and other ones and photos presented on the advertisements.

My experience was not so good, the main items are: - the hotel does not respect the exclusive line for Le Club members. - I booked a room described as "ocean view", but they put me in a room point to the other side. - The room was dirty and with lots of dust. It is like some of the staff just don't care. It was my second (and last) stay and I realized they misspelled my e-mail address. For this reason I did not received my receipt. They told me this issue was fixed, but I did not receive for the second time.
