Buffet réveillon poor nothing special either ambient music and food regarding "price versus quality". Miscommunication between first reception person who told us correctly our check-out date BUT didn't "make our apartment key properly" AND I make myself "up & down" 3 times AND fortunately a different receptionist person "make my apartment key properly" HOWEVER he told incorrect my check-out date. It's okay for me all described situation because I am use to travel a lot BUT it a little bit anoying. Another quick alert is the long time to deliver drink's to the swimming pool, at least 30 minutes AND I am paying an extra value for this 30 minutes delivery SO that's why the second day on swmiming pool I took the lift an get my drinks BUT I paid the extra value for your delivery service. Not good BUT anyway it's life!! Honestly, I didn't feel cleaning on my room, I meaning I feel that was a superficial cleaning BUT because I didn't stay every in the hotel, once again it's okay because it's life!! Meanwhile the ONLY nice THING was the breakfast (not all days) which I enjoy with my girlfriend AND she liked a lot indeed because Novotel have some vegan food. To conclude my expectations are below because I choose Novotel due your international name and because was my first time in Brazil. You need to improve in small details OR this is the way Brazil works for tourism.

Rudeness of Security , not well trained and uninformed of Covid rulings Cleanness and housekeeping: Simply Terrible , took me 5 days for the first cleaning service to happen, even though I was told about the 3 day no cleaning rulings and bed sheet changes ( didnt happen) , after complaining a very basic service was provided, however, red to brown questionable marks on the walls next to the bed, and dirty sheets with yellow marks ( you know what happened ) remained ; dirty floor , dirty furniture deplorable quality control of cleanness control , with dripping air conditioner that I had to put towels on the floor to dry the water all over the place, by the way this was already the second room changed. Let's talk food; food services , very unprepared staff serving the patrons, not organized to deal with lines ( giving the impression that were their first job ever ) , I literally just walked cross the street for a fabulous and cordial experience at the Marapendi Hotel . Visiting the Novotel Restaurant ,I felt been in a cheap Motel 6 out of road Hostel with a simplistic breakfast prepared by a granny working out of her retirement. One thing excellent thou, the Lady working at the front bar, extremely polite and seems like she had years within the hotel industry, lovely lady. By the way, internet connection.... Forget it! after changing rooms and even had a visit from the IT person (very cordial) , nothing helped , I needed good connection for my meetings, simply didnt work... and I got tired of complaining ( after all it was already paid ) .

Hi dear customer services, I would like to present some facts that happened 5 dec doing the. Check in novotel Barra in rio de janeiro city. I did a reservation by the app paying with points, but the reservation didnot debit the points, then i was fully charged for the three days reservation, i told to the receptionist what i did in the app and I did the reservation process with the receptionist called Livia again, showing to her the process in the app, but again the new reservation didn’t work well again, at this moment we asked to her if it was possible to pay with the point directly, but she tell us that the only way was by the app and she asked gently to do by ourself to contact all-accord helpdesk and to move out the line to continue with other customers. We try to contact helpdesk but it was no possible, then I contact a friend who works to the all accord hotels in sao paulo, I explain whats happened and he ask me if he Can talk directly to the receptionist, then he explained how to charge me with the points and everything went well. After all my fiancée and me got some questions, the personal at the reception are not well prepared? or the receptionist does not want to help us?, we felt like if we cannot afford the stay. These events happen 5 dec 2020 around 4 pm.

I did not see the extra mile from person that was in charge of the bill closure. He charged more from room 663 (Luzineide room) and we took time to make the return of money in the credit card, a really disaster. The breakfast in the second day was poor if compared with first day, nor even a sandwich maker/toaster was available. For the level of the installation, really bad. At the room 661 where I was located, the light of the bathroom mirror was not working well, the hygienic paper was not new, was half used (unbelievable that you permit that in a pandemic).

Is a nice hotel and is situated in a very good location, The breakfast could have been a bit better , such as fresh cooked omelets and scrambled eggs instead of kept in warm plates for who knows how long? The fresh fruit was very good.

hotel is good, comfortable, well located and the friendly and attentive staff. But breakfast is very bad compared to what it was before. The worst thing it was regarding to room cleaning: it is only being done every 3 days and this is inconceivable. A go way to the beach already makes the room need cleaning. And even due to the pandemic, cleaning should be a priority. I will not return until this service is normalized.

The hotel was in a fantastic location and the staff all very nice and helpful. The only thing i would suggest is perhaps having name tags for all the breakfast dishes as only some had name tags and it wasnt clear what was being served. The only issue i had which for someone like me coming from the hotel industry this is a basic requirement and was that the do not disturb sign was not respected and i think the team need to be trained in that respect. I had one instance where the maid came into my room when i wasnt dressed and another instance when there was repeated knocking on my door where i had the sign on and was sleeping. All and all i had a lovely stay and hope that these areas for improvement as realised.

New staff with no experience at all, probably bad training. Food is not good as used to be. And, now with the Corona Virus moment I didn’t see any extra care of hygiene, mainly in the restaurant.

room fine, location good, amenities ok but there is a problem with the staff that act as if they were scared. from front office to restaurant staff to floor staff there is no understanding of customer satisfaction (what fell down accor we had just come from a mercure in another city that was fine--novotel should be even better) i have seen much better results in a standard ibis !
