Really good stay! Reception always available clean and silent hotel, Minimal room with large shower, comfortable beds , different types of light in the room. Even TV was avaible. The only thing is that there isn't a wardrobe. We left our clothes in the luggage. The hotel is 5 min by walk from Whitechapel underground and 7 Min from AldGate East. Everything was fine.

The rooms were clean and the housekeeper was entering the room daily. The location is convenient as there are 2 metro stations very close by. But the breakfast was terrible, the coffee mugs were to small to fit in the coffee from the automatic machines, the coffee itself was tasteless, the croissants were as hard as they can be, the pancakes uncooked, the juice (only 2 of the 3 options were available on the automatic machine) was bad, no egg options. Also the staff was rude, with no knowledge of the property (we asked for to change rooms as one of ours was too small and they told us they were fully booked, while we could find availability everywhere online - their website, on other platforms etc, even on a board outside the hotel itself, even for a triple room which was bigger). Also they had no idea of the price of an additional room asked for. We arrived at 13:30 and to be informed that our rooms would be available after 15:00, although they never asked for our names to check if our rooms were already ready. Also, they asked us for 1£ to keep our luggage to theirs storeroom. And finally, we never received a "good morning", a "welcome" or anything like this. They looked that they were bored or even annoyed by us, especially in the morning

Basic items like hand soap, toothpaste were missing. The bathroom door's lock seemed to have been taken out and the automatic lights in it weren't always working correctly.

A prison cell has more charm

I knew the room would be basic but this went beyond that. Bed was lumpy, kettle no cups, a wet room bathroom where the curtain had no impact on stopping the water soak the whole floor. Stayed in room 236 and the was a constant noise of water pouring down pipes. The walls are so thin it felt like the lift was opening in my room. Worse night's sleep I've had in years.
