I have found that the English level of the staff at hour hotels are higher than that of other hotels in China. Facilities are generally excellent, occasionally the scale in the room doesn’t work or a water pipe is slowly leaking in the bathroom but in general very good.

I choose the Pullman to spend my birthday and it was an excellent choice. The service was first class, all the staff were very nice to me and treated me well. I would especially like to thank Bob the Guest Service Manager for going out his way to make sure my stay was fantastic. From the room upgrade to surprising me with a birthday cake. He made sure he was in constant contact to ensure I had a pleasant experience. I intend to be back very soon and highly recommend the Pullman to not only locals but to all international travelers.

A good place to stay, 15 minutes (walking) away from Zhangjiajie forest park. Nice and helpful staff, though the overall experience is not up to Pullman brand (especially the food...).

I was very satisfied with the level of service provided by Accor. To be more precise, I want to thank several people who have made this trip a memorable one. Firstly, Mr. Bob Naresh the duty manager. Wulingyuan/Zhangjiajie is a place with very few foreigners and having someone who was easy to communicate to, understand our preferences and provide local recommendations was amazing. He also helped cater to our dietary preferences, which I am also grateful for. I hope Accor recognizes the value of such managers and retains or reward them if their interest is to cater for a global customer base to all their hotels. I also want to thank Ms. Liying from the tours office located in the hotel premises . She was helpful in pre-planning the trip and arranged for a tour guide, Ms. Peng, who was very energetic and patient in guiding us through the Wulingyuan park, which definitely requires guidance to navigate. While communication with them was in Chinese, the hotel staff would have also been willing to assist us if needed. Both are recommended for any tourists coming in the future, if you intend on making tour plans with strategy. The rooms were comfortable, and being in an executive room had benefits such as the lounge, late checkout and complimentary fruits and beverages daily, which was good to take advantage of. All the food in the lounge and restaurants were of great taste, I also express my gratitude towards the chefs. However, there were a couple of issues I feel that could be resolved on the hotel's side. 1) Executive rooms have complimentary checkout at 4pm, yet past 12pm on my checkout day, I got locked out twice with my cards declining entry. It's a terrible experience to have happen in a time crunch, and I hope that in the future when they offer 4pm checkouts for free for executive rooms the cards should be adjusted accordingly. I feel like the few front desk staff working should have been more careful and helpful on that day. 2) Breakfast was not separate for executive rooms, and huge tour groups often made it tough to even find space to sit or get food. 3) The main restaurant took last orders around 2pm for lunch and 8:45pm or so for dinner. Some dishes are offered throughout the day, and Mr. Naresh ensured that we get adequate (even vegetarian) food. However, this is inconvenient for those that arrive for late lunch or dinner if you travel to far places. Room service appeared to be available at certain times, though the degree of variety seemed limited if it was out of hours. I would recommend that the hotel have all food offered throughout the day, once more tourists visit after the pandemic. The lounge food offerings, in contrast, were of great variety and enjoyable. 4) Air conditioning did not work for heating, my room felt really cold when it was 12-15 degrees Celsius outside. The thermostat was fine, and the bedding didn't make this much of an issue. Overall, I highly recommend this for any overseas/foreign tourists that come to the Zhangjiajie/ Wulingyuan area. Few measures such as downloading your accorplus digital card, keeping your phone ready to receive health codes are recommended.
The worst Pullman experience (so far) in my life

When I see Zhangjiajie has Pullman hotel, I didn't think twice and without any doubt directly book it. The pictures in the accor and other travel web page has already given me high expectation. Unfortunately the reality turns out so different than the picture This hotel is actually quite old and doesn't look as good as in the pictures The worst things are: 1. they didn't recognize me as accor platinum member (even the "lounge access" that they written as my room package is just a free soda / soft drink in their not so exclusive open lobby lounge, so dont bother to buy their room with lounge access since they dont have executive lounge --> at leasr that what their fron desk say) 2. the front office can not speak english very well (and the expatriate officer didnt do any initiative to approach me when I try to report some) 3. My room has problem with the air conditioner which I already report it in the morning. It makes our room warm (even hot) rather than cool it off. When we arrived in the evening, our room still so hot and they didn't report anything whether they already check it or not. Hence, i ask my chinese friend to help ask them and they just said the air conditioner in the hotel already not working and already turn into a heater. So, to make our room cooler they suggest us to open our room window.... what a brilliant suggestion (although it works) Definitely if i go to zhangjiajie again i will not stay here again and will stay to more international guest ready crowne hotel which just only side by side with this hotel.
