We were very grateful for the service received during our stay. There was a shortage of irons and ironing boards. Also, it seems that the restaurant was not ready for a large crowd of people, as was the case with the delegates who stayed at ibis. The lady who checked us in was wonderful and the best of the staff at the hotel. Whenever she saw us during the week, she checked on our well-being. I'm sorry that I didn't get her name, but she is a definite asset to the hotel and group, and an example in providing good customer service.

Bad experience with the hotel, so disorganized and old hotel. The breakfast a disaster, all days the same food and so poor options. I didn’t recommend it.

The staff was kind, gentle and helpful. The breakfast service was varied and delicious. The rooms were comfortable although a little small. I would like to find other relaxing spaces during my next stay, such as an entertainment room or a garden.

Good but not exceptional

I stayed one week (Sun to Fri) there for a work-related stay at the end of July / early August. The hotel is quite centrally located, close to a metro station and in front of a main road. Rooms are spacious and clean, and at a first sight the hotel looks modern and functional. However, there are many small details that could make a real difference and have been overlooked. There is no phone connection with the concierge, which means no wake-up service in the morning and no possibility of being called by visitors (they have to leave a document to be allowed to come and visit you). Insulation is very poor (to be fair, a standard in Chile), and a cold draft was constantly entering from the window. At night, traffic from the main road in front was clearly audible at the 4th floor. The heating was temperamental at best, and despite a degree in Physics I never fully figured out how to control it. The shower was good, but the door was leaking and the bath got partly flooded every time I used it. There was also no kettle in the room, which I would nowadays consider a standard in hotel rooms. Apart from the above problems, breakfast was good, although mainly pastries, bread, and jams. The choice of fruits was OK, although a bit under representative of the wide and excellent variety in Chile. If you are used to English-type breakfast, you won’t find much choice. Scrambled eggs in Chile are cooked quite soft, more similar to a cream than the curds we are used in Europe. There were only two coffee machines, which often meant in the morning you had to queue to get your cappuccino. Overall a mixed experience, and a feeling that with a modest investment they could have made the place truly good.

The person at check in is not made for hospitality . Not a smile, not a word of welcome, I had to ask her every basic information and I felt I should have Booked elsewhere. As a result I cancelled the other 2 nights booked in this hotel. Really ACCOR Global Management should monitor more closely what’s happening in Chile as their franchisees don’t meet the international standards of the Group.
