You have working guys in your front desks, Housekeeping and restaurant. However, the towels, pillows and pillow sleeves need renewal. Turnaround time from the laundry needs improvement

Old hotel, wish I could avoid it

I have stayed here several times, but it's only because there are no other decent options at decent prices and that accepts international credit cards around this area in Ikeja. I am an international traveller and I know that the Ibis brand is questionable in quality world wide. But this one is probably the worst of all. This Ibisi hotel building is absolutely dated with no significant renovation having been done. All the rooms are pretty dated, with cracks and old AC. The restaurant areas is mainly for local people, as the menu is generally Nigerian. It does get filled with Nigerian during the evening time. The AC basically does not work in the restaurant and lobby area. Depending on which room you are given, you'll have trickling shower and a shower head that is not propped up right as the screws are so loose and not maintained. You will constantly have to hold that shower head with your arms when in use. I used to think it was acceptable since hygine was okay. But my greatest disappointment this time were the cockroaches. There have been a few small baby cockroaches during the couple of times I stayed. However, this time a huge cockroach appeared at midnight. A cockroach on the 4th floor signifies a lack of pest control throughout the building. I do credit the hotel staff on brining me a spray despite the time. But lack of basic pest control in such international branded hotel is unacceptable. The hotel should be taken out of Ibis group or spend some money on renovation.
