Wouldn't stay again.

Room was not up to Accor standard. As paid members we received none of our benefits. Room needs a full renovation. Filthy carpet, broken & dirty furniture, a hole in the bathroom door which looked like it had been punched. Stains on bed cushions. Curtains were missing half the hooks so didn't block out light. Fridge froze our salad vegetables had to throw them away. Pillows were tiny & very flat. Good location is about all this hotel has going for it.

Disgusting room

The room had a very large dirty water stain in the ceiling above the bed that was just horrible to look at. The carpet was lumpy and oddly uneven underneath with horrible disgusting stains all through it. The door was chipped and broken and had a gap of around 1 inch at the bottom that meant it was open to the hallway, so I could very clearly hear everybody outside the room and presumably they could hear me. The walls had marks everywhere and could really do with a paint. The bathroom decor looked like it had been done with items from Kmart to match the fit out that was from easily the 1980's. Overall very disappointed. There are plenty of places to stay in Mildura that are of this standard, but that's reflected in their price, so you know what to expect. I have a fair bit of business travel planned for Mildura coming up and I certainly won't be going back to the Mercure.

AVERAGE, AVERAGE, AVERAGE!!!

Eduard S TripAdvisor review

We had recently stayed in a family run motel in Mildura while traveling to our holiday destination. On the way back we decided to spend more (another $100 per night) and enjoy what was expected to be a better ran hotel. That assumption was a mistake!!! Check in while efficient was not engaging, no advice given on how to use the room key to open the door to our room. We booked a 2-bedroom apartment, so our daughter had her own space. The apartment while spacious was poorly maintained, dirty with dust over furniture etc. The room fixtures were of low quality, furniture and paintwork was a mixture of bad choices and band aids trying to cover bad choices. This property is unloved and a ship without a captain. The walls and door frames leading to reception have scuff marks which are a simple fix if someone actually took the time to care. Check out was as inattentive as check in. The person at the desk did not even bother to ask how our stay was and rather than take our key asked us to drop it into a cheap plastic container on his work bench. As mentioned, we stayed in a cheaper family run hotel and had a completely different experience. In short this is a terrible hotel, poorly managed, no care. If you have no expectations this is the place to stay in Mildura. We will never stay in this hotel again!!

4 nights of comfort in Mildura, very clean rooms - the vintage lift is an unusual touch. Staff were very pleasant to deal with. Lots of local restaurants, including a very nice inhouse restaurant.

Luxury room in the heart of town

First thing you need to know is the car park for this hotel is behind it. Reception staff were lovely and our check-in was very quick. The reception and foyer area are welcoming and there are some comfy chairs if you're waiting for someone. This is a three storey hotel and is an older building. The staircase is wide and has beautiful timber banisters, there's a gorgeous window in the stairwell but it is partially obscured by the staircase itself. The lift is gorgeous! It's heritage listed and only fits two! Lots of timber and a manually operated door. Our open-plan room was on the first floor and it was stunning! We had a wall of windows that overlooked the town. The bedroom area was furnished with a very comfortable king size bed, lounge chair, large screen smart TV and air conditioner. Our room opened into the living area which had a kitchenette with a microwave and crockery, a sitting area with a couch, desk and a large corner spa. There was also a separate ensuite. The room was clean, private, quiet and extremely comfortable and very affordably priced. We would definitely stay here again.
