Excellent hotel facilities and good high spec . Food was excellent and also had access to club room on 35 th floor . This provided afternoon tea and apertivo time ! Richard there was great and attentive! We had half board and always excellent breakfast and very varied evening dinner with specials on every night .

We were disappointed and shocked by the hotel services. We have been to Sofitel, Raffles, Grand Mercure and M Gallery around the world and was happy with the level of services. But the hotel at Abu Dhabi, is Not to a Sofitel standard. It clearly shows that most of the staff need training. During our stay we did not have a single pleasant day at the hotel. See bullet points: 1. We arrived on 31 December at 17h00. We did on line checked-in. There is no priority welcome facilities. We were standing and waiting at the reception desk. Once we reached the desk, I informed the staff that I have checked in on line already, we have 2 rooms booked under my name. The latter did not even greet us, she constantly said to us "I don't see any reservation under your name". Finally after guiding her on how to read a passport, she found the reservation. She rudely said that our rooms are not ready and may be would be ready in 30 minutes but cannot confirm. She cannot scan the documents either as she must wait for the rooms to be ready because of the system. Come back later. I ensure that my family was seated in the lobby to rest a while as we were on our feet for 12 hours. Then I walked backed to the reception desk and ask to the same staff if we were welcome at this hotel as no one came to us for an update about the room status, no explanations why our rooms were not ready as check-in time is 15h00 and not a glass of water was offered to us or asking us how they can make our waiting comfortable. I requested to speak to the front office manager, but was ignored. Fortunately another staff overheard my voice and came to assist. 2. We got our rooms at 6 pm. From bad to worst, I was in 704. The room was dirty. I took photos of all faulty lights, mirrors dirty, shopping receipts of previous customer were still in the room, there was no minibar fridge in my room. In 705, the mirrors were dirty and the sliding bathroom doors were broken. There was no welcome standard amenities in the room. No light desk table. carpets have a lot of stains. The bed sheet were torn next to my pillow. The facilities provided in both rooms are not consistent. In 704, there was only 1 sofa to sit. In 705 no ironing facilities. I took photos to show to the reception as there were so many issues. Here again not a single apology from the reception team. The 2 following days, I had to stop at the reception while going for breakfast to inform some issues which were not sorted out since our arrival. Then I stopped reporting as it clearly shows that this hotel don't care about customers, NO ONE was following up. There was no turndown during our stay. Upon checked-out, the staff asked me "how was my stay". I replied by saying this was the worst Sofitel that we have ever experienced. We are very disappointed and will not be back. We have always been taken good care around the world at any ACCOR hotels. Briefed the staff about all the issues we had from the day we arrived. He said, he was embarrassed and did not know what to say and he would informed his manager. 3. We had tea at the French bakery. we were asked to move to another table which were not cleaned. 4. At the main restaurant, during breakfast and dinner, there were some dishes with NO labels. We did not know what it was. I informed the staff who was at the buffet. He disappeared without any word and no action taken. Laddles were put on the side of each dish for people to serve themselves. As they were not placed accordingly, same laddles were being used in different dishes. I informed a staff but again the 'No care attitude" with no leadership or supervision. However the live cooking for both breakfast and dinner do a good job. Always polite and efficient. Good leadership and team work. I wish it should have been the same everywhere. In all this mess, I would like to say thank you to 'Andrew' from the concierge team who always greeted us as per Sofitel standard, Vashi from the reception who ensure we got the mini bar fridge and reported all the issues to concerning department.

However, we are glad to hear that some staff members like Andrew from the concierge team and Vashi from reception were able to assist you during your stay, and their efforts are greatly appreciated. Rest assured, your feedback is valuable, and we will share it with the management to address the issues raised. We hope that, despite this experience, you might consider giving Sofitel another chance in the future, as this is not reflective of the high standards we aim to maintain. Stay at Sofitel Corniche for a couple of days during the new years breaks. The Front Office Manager Kirlos is so lovely, he made our stay comfortable. Will be back again

Ooff the best building when you drop into Abu Dhabi. The pretty receptionist was very helpful. The staff were wavey got on with everyone there very good people. Theres a corner shop inside the hotel for none extortionate prices. They need to fix the lift but great stay and the bose system was getting banged off as well! Brilliant!

The value for money is not justified. Probably our worst experience in a Sofitel hotel. For the same price the Sofitel Palm at Dubai is much better.

The Club Millesime was well below the standard We weren’t advised that the content of the mini bar has to be requested in advance! The lighting in the room didn’t function and the water in the sink didn’t go down
