Having stayed at a number of ibis locations throughout Europe, I was pleasantly surprised by the overall appearance and comfort of the bed, the delicious food in the restaurant and the great breakfast spread! What I missed were the little things. The two that come to mind are no access to tea or coffee outside of breakfast. After walking around all day in the cold, I was looking forward to hot cup of tea. The room does not provide tea or coffee which is understandable and usual for a budget hotel. Typically though, I’ve experienced guests are provided one machine or amenity bar in the lobby (Moxy by Marriott). Here there was no such thing. I paid for dinner at the hotel that night and asked if I could grab a tea bag from the breakfast bar area. Was told no, that I would have to pay to have a cup brewed for me. That felt like a rip off so I declined. I should have just taken tea bags in the morning when 8 had breakfast! The bathroom of my room also smelled like a sewer. I kept the door shut and that helped it not smell up the rest of the room. Also, the heat in the hotel was out of control! I know it’s winter but 28 inside! It was hard to sleep with it so hot. I did put the window open but then the street noise was so loud. Again, just minor things that it’s probably not worth to you but you asked for my feedback, so there you go.

I recently stayed at this hotel and found the location to be excellent. It is conveniently situated close to major attractions, shopping areas, and public transport, which made getting around very easy. The accessibility to nearby restaurants and cafes was also a big plus.

Comfortable stay. Wish the room had slightly more space to store bags as we were two people with two bags and they got in the way. Great location though, close proximity to the centre.
