My team member booked hotel for me on nights of 24th, 25th, 29th and 30th of July. I stayed 24th and 25th as normal, however due to some urgent schedule I must fly back on 30th July and thus I checked in 29th and informed to Front Desk that I must cancel to night of 30th July. Lynn Yeo is very kind and friendly to check with Sales Manager and keep me comfortable during waiting time. After that, her sales manager confirmed her to charge me 1 night of 29th July. However, I was informed by team member that hotel asked to pay for 30th of July also due to later announcement while hotel requested 3 days prior, I respected this requirement and because my team member and even myself forgot to inform in advance due to urgent change, thus I asked that whether I can pay and get the voucher/coupon to use the night next time when I come back to Seoul but the answer is still NO. I am business-men and travel to many countries and stay in many hotels, but this is first time that I got this kind poor service mindset from Mercure Ambassador, especially the thinking of who decided to say NO although I already stayed 3 nights in this time.

Super nice staff. Well located, modern hotel but the rooms are not functional at all. Odd designs in each room lack many convenient amenities like electrical plugs in odd places instead of bedside, non-intuitive light switches, shower door that also serves as toilet door and spills water everywhere, lack of clothes hook in toilet and bathroom, etc. For a hotel at this price point, it would be nice not to charge for small items like tooth brush and toiletries. Your guests feel like they’re being charged at every turn.
