Super nice staff. Well located, modern hotel but the rooms are not functional at all. Odd designs in each room lack many convenient amenities like electrical plugs in odd places instead of bedside, non-intuitive light switches, shower door that also serves as toilet door and spills water everywhere, lack of clothes hook in toilet and bathroom, etc. For a hotel at this price point, it would be nice not to charge for small items like tooth brush and toiletries. Your guests feel like they’re being charged at every turn.

After 13 hour flight from the US, my first impression of this hotel was greeted by early check in fee of 30% of my original boom cost. Most luxury hotels will tell me my rooms is not ready or when my room will be ready. However, the staff did not hear and simply requested early check in fee. Fine, I paid. After checking in, the staff informed me that there will be no power until 3 pm. So, I paid early check in fee for no reason to get a room with no power. Fine, I accepted again since I have a business meeting at 2:30pm and I needed to shower. So I checked into the room. The room is small, with almost no accommodations or personality. I showered and went to my business meeting. However, once I returned to the room around 10 pm. The power is back but the AC does not work…. I don’t have the energy to go back to the front desk anymore and get broken English responses. I accepted my fate of choosing a bad hotel. Just wanted to vent my frustrations here. My colleagues traveling with me for work also have similar complains, but I’ll let them voice it separately.
