A Total value for money stay. The Cleanliness and Safety were given top priority. Special mention to Smitha and Raju who made sure we enjoyed the food and and were attending to us .Kudos to the team for organising to burst crackers and make us guests have a good time.

Staff and room were great. The heater/AC were totally silent unlike many hotels. Nice bed and pillows. Shower floor was a bit slippery (tile) so be careful. Would be nice to have a bathtub in the room, but that may be an option that I did not even ask about.

The stay, food and hospitality was quite good. The location as well was well suited for visit to Mahabalipuram and Kovalam beach. The service was of excellent quality as well. The breakfast was fantastic with a large variety of tasty food.

Warm welcome and nice services, even if pick-up was delayed and I was not able to reach the hotel, nor informed. Yet, I recommend this hotel for business trip as it is well located and staff is very committed.

Staffs were quite cordial. Services were prompt..to note, Check in and check out were hassle free. Rooms were spacious for family stay and were clean. Except for being a bit costly accommodation, we all had awesome experience.

Spacious, clean and excellent hotel

Stayed here for one day with my family. They have well equipped gym, cozy swimming pool, billiards and couple of other games to spend time. Staff here are very friendly and any problem was resolved immediately. Location is far from railway station. This is very good location to stay for people planning to visit Mahabalipuram and near by places like MGM Grand, Kovalam beach etc. Neelesh was the duty manager when we entered the hotel. He received us with warm welcome and upgraded our room to suite and it was excellent. The room is spacious and the stay was memorable. I have to thank Neelesh. My son enjoyed a lot during his shower. Overall it was a great stay. We had our dinner and break fast at their restaurant. Staff was friendly and courteous however improvement is required in the taste and variety of food. For example there were 6 vegetarian curries to have but the option is only roti to have with them. Curd served in the buffet was so sour that we cannot even dare to taste it however curd rice was yummy. Food taste was average but not great. If food was great I would have rated 5 for this hotel.

Great Stay experience

We came to Novotel Chennai Sipcot for a long weekend break. Our stay was made pleasant by the courteous and ever smiling staff. They made sure we were comfortable, the kids enjoyed a lot too. They have a X box , swimming pool and a small play zone where they had good fun.In all a good comfortable stay, a little far from the city but a good place to relax.

Enough room for improvement

Not really at the standard we can expect. Room at premier floor, but unexpectedly and unexplained no activity there, also dirty and a clear humidity issue. Rooms not clean enough and the service was below other Novotels in India. A clear overview of what was where and when was missing as a good arrival letter. The service in the restaurant/breakfast however was excellent.

Best place to stay on the omr Road, calm and quite, good ambience and value for money, restaurant is good and nice food options they serve, Sunday brunch is the best they have, room service also is nice, need to work out on better TV channel operator as most of the channels are getting stuck

FrontDesk staff needs behavior training

I choose Novotel for my business trip for a week. During that period Chennai suffered with cyclone “Vardha”. The whole Chennai got back to work in 2 days after Vardha but for Novotel - internet, TV, In-Room dining and other facilities were called off till the time I left on Saturday. And the best part is behavior of the ForntDesk staff. They surely need training on how to behave with customers or hotel guest. When you do the booking you are given Duty Manger’s number but unfortunately that person (Ali) is of no use. The bathrooms are flooded like swimming pools, you have to call and request them to clean the room.

Stayed for a night while driving back from Pondychery. Nice and very clean hotel on old Mahabalipuram Road. Food is good with excellent choices. Restaurant staffs are very helpful. Specially Saurabh and Arpan who looked after us well.

Fantastic property though a bit too far from the city but is a perfect location for anyone who travels on business and works out of OMR IT Parks. The staff were extremely courteous and took good care of us. We had a slight glich in the Air conditioning system in the room, they instantly gave us an option to move to other rooms. Food was good and the buffet breakfast is a very lavish spread.

Great service, nice hotel but with some issues

First off, the people working at this hotel is what makes it a great place. Incredibly friendly, very attentive to your needs and the make sure that the your room and hotel is spotlessly clean. They provided a 5 star service. The rooms are comfortable, the beds firm and the linen of good quality. The bathroom facilities are first class. The rooms are immaculately cleaned every day. The food is good but probably a bit "watered down" to cater for sensitive visitor palates. The fish dishes are particularly good. Beef and pork dishes are not the best but the fish, mutton and chicken is good. The bad: 1. Alcohol is stupidly overpriced and expensive. INR 1000 (GBP10) for a single imported whiskey. Part of this is because of the high tax on imported drink (76%) but the hotel charges about 3 to 4 times the price of what is considered standard. 2. Taxis arranged by the hotel is about 30% more expensive than those from those from other reputable provides in the area. 3. The hotel is very conveniently located for a business person visiting the technology companies in the area but it is expensive and time consuming to get to other areas. You are therefore limited to the hotel for your food and drink unless you are willing to travel 60 minutes+ to Chennai.

It was really a comfort stay with nice food. it's still a very new hotel. Staff were very friendly always willing to help. Rooms are excellent and well maintained. food in buffet was of a standard with very helpful staff. need improvement on account of wi-fi connectivity ,was not working well inside room .
