My parents & son recently stayed at Novotel Lami. From my initial email correspondence with Radini Diniqa to when my family checked in. They said Reception, Restaurant & Housekeeping were caring, accommodating and were happy with the services provided. The room was also clean & well presented. Breakfast & dinner as well great! Service was good, however the food and rooms situation is quite average. The breakfast buffet selection and Dinner menu option are quite limited and average quality. One breakfast session, the plates available still had food stuck on it, clearly poorly washed in the dishwasher. regarding the room: The bathroom in room had ants on the sink & acoackroach on the floor . THere is no desk/chair to work on laptop in the room, Was told that only lobby was available. Now iam imagine a reasonable number of Novotel guests travel to Suva for business, so its not a secure environment to be working on confidential business tasks in an open lobby. The room was also extremely poorly lit, only 2 lamps and a light over the F&B area to light up the whole room. Recommend that guests should be given the option to charge taxi's requested to the room ( to be settled at check-out) as other hotels ( IHG ones) in Suva do. Not every travller in Suva for buiness trip purpose carries cash. Reception did organise this manner only for the going to the airport, not when needed to head to meeting into Suva City.
