I loved the bula smiles & kindness of the itaukei staff but they need to train the others. The walls are white therefore when a guest leaves maybe a thorough cleaning with bleach & disinfectant should be used as our walls,doors etc had brown stains,nail polish & other stains....I manged to wipe off some stains as I didn't want my 2 year old to touch it. The food that we ordered was delicious if it DIDN'T have tomatoes,lettuce or chicken in it....I think as these foods are prepped in advance maybe do a smell or taste test before serving it to guests. The fish & chips was top notch though ! Staff like Toro as the Front Desk and Mereani in Housekeeping should be used to train other staff....these 2 stood out as their service was consistent throughout our stay....Vinaka Vakalevu. Nice hotel. My stay was comfortable. View beautiful. Conference venue right across is very convenient. Need to improve on the restaurant side. I had to wait about an hour for my food. I ended up cancelling it and ordering something that required no cooking. It happened to a friend on another night we were having dinner.

Hotel a little way from the city with acceptable accommodation and with great staff. Hotel itself is aging and could do with a spruce up. Hotel menu was ok but could be better. Fiji has a wonderful tropical climate but on flip side, the climate (humidity, moisture elements) deteriorates property quickly if regular and timely repairs and maintenance are not performed (think Singapore and how similar star Accor hotels are maintained there). Accor needs to pay attention to this aspect is such tropical locations as this hotel charges a fairly premium price.

I was quite surprised this hotel carries the Novotel and Accor name. Rooms were very basic - no water included, no mini-bar and need refreshing. Bathroom was dirty and moldy. Food was very poor and not consistent - I received two completely different interpretations of the same dish ordered twice during my stay. The biggest deal breaker was poor internet to the point I could not work and therefore I would not recommend to any of my colleagues we stay here when we visit Fiji. It ran off many routers, each requiring different codes (so you didn't get a consistent experience) and may or may not even be present (staff moved them around constantly and a modem that might be in the bar one day wasn't the next etc). The staff themselves were all very lovely.

Was an ok stay..too noisy early morning from house keeping staff..when people are travelling they want to rest and have good sleep. Not waking up 7.30/8am with the staff slamming doors and have their phone notification fully loud and going off every minute and shouting in the hallway talking to each other. If they start cleaning atleast after 10am would be better for people. Very basic things for breakfast. Customer service in fiji has always been the best in the world but these days its very poor.

My daughter forgot her new runners at the hotel room after we checked out. I received an email from Mele at the front desk advising me of this and for arrangements to be picked up. For the maid who found it to the front desk staff who kept it safe, a big vinaka vakalevu to you. That gesture alone would make me and my family come back to Novotel Lami.

Staff were 10/10 - incredibly friendly and accommodating. Wifi wasn't great - dropped a lot, pretty slow, high ping so video calls for work were painful. Location was ok - very far from airports etc but I knew that coming in. Amenities were nice though - pool, massage/spa was great, etc. It rained our entire trip so that made it more difficult to enjoy the amenities however
