ibis Chihuahua Hotel 3 stars

From someone who visits out of the country there are different expectations . I was asked if I wanted to “facturar “ and with my limited Spanish I though this was part of the normal checkout process . I was not happy when the gentlemen at 6:00am asked me to do it through my mobile phone as I was trying to head out . I tried in the pelo g lot and wasn’t successful and he proceeded to tell me they had a computer that I could use to do it . This made me more upset because in my knowledge when you check out the gentleman at the con tee does it without the customer having to do it for themselves . Ignorance on my part, however the gentleman could have explained to me it was not part of his job description

Good location , super small and dirty!

We arrived mid morning from the airport and we were able to get our room straight away. The room was a typical Ibis, but it was good to have complimentary bottles of water in the room. However, later in the day we were surprised (horrified?) to find that it was not possible to buy a cup of coffee. That is despite many adverts for the Ibis Kitchen. Why?? However breakfast was good and it was possible to ask for fried eggs. One minor detail: because I am silver, thre was a free drink voucher - for ber or soft drinks. I hate beer and in other Accor hotels thre has always been the option of wine. Not here - so my husband had the beer! As elsewhere in the area, there is little English spoken. The hotel is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of town.

While the room was comfortable, not much has been put in to maintaining the property since I stayed there initially about 5 years ago. The shower drain was very slow requiring the shower stream to be limited so the water wouldn't run into the bathroom floor. Wear on the furnishings was obvious and in the common areas simple cleaning like daily washing of the elevator call buttons and pads was lacking. The staff is attentive but again, attention to detail in cleaning is very poor.

People truly makes a difference. Every member of the staff was commited to making my experience a unique one.

We often stay with ibis because it is clean well priced and consistent . You know what you get. Room was tired. Main criticism was food. Breakfast had obviously hung around some time, and coffee maker not working. Staff indifferent to solving problem. First emptied drip tray then went away saying fixed. It wasn't. They filled milk and went away. Still not working. Finally filled water. Took ages and other person waiting gave up. The machine should be reviewed at all times. I made a big fuss in Spanish and was not charged. Hotel near centre but no restaurants near so on first night ate there. Poor innatentive service, not great food and overpriced . Come on ibis, let's down your brand.

The stay and installation where good, however when I received the room the bed and general cleaning had not been done at the moment of arrival. Only half a roll of toilet paper and one clean towel. The bed was not made either. Other than that it was all good.

Nice place, conviniently located downtown with accesibility and relatively close to the airport. Room WAS ok but nothing Out of the ordinary. TV only has few chanels and the food in the hotel was a bit dry and pretty regular. A little bit more expensive then others in the city. Won't be staying there another time if I don't have to

Good service from staff. Rooms need a little TLC. But overall not bad. I would consider staying again on my next visit.
