Great location for Co-Op Live but hotel very basic for the cost, weird room layout and no room refresh during stay

Chose this hotel because it was conveniently located for the Co-Op Live venue we were going to a concert at. However was staying with friends and therefore was a bit shocked to find on arrival the shower was in the room and not a separate bathroom which was a bit embarrassing and led to a strategic placing of towels around the room, over mirrors etc for modesty. Stayed for 2 nights and after being out all day on day 2, came back to find the room had not been cleaned and no replenished tea/coffee, and worse, as there was no drying rack provided for towels, our towels were still wet (and had makeup on from the night before) and had not been changed which for the price paid was not on.

More Budget than Expected

Served a purpose to sleep over in Manchester for one evening, but was more basic / budget than I was expecting. The toilet was basically be in a cupboard. With 6 inches of space from your knees to the door. And a 3-4 inch gap at the bottom of your door which meant you could sit on the toilet and have your toes sticking out into the bedroom lol. Shower and sink is in the main bedroom which is fine if your comfortable with the lack of privacy. There was also the occasional smell of cigarette smoke which was either coming from the air ducting or from another room. Air conditioning unit extremely noisy. Sounded like a distant fire alarm whirring. Had to switch it off. On a positive note, the bed was comfortable and reception areas pleasant.
