It was our first time to the hotel but we are extremely dissatisfied in terms of accomodation, food and entertainment compared to the price we paid and compared to other neibouring hotels package. I think emphasis should be on firstly staff training, secondly, before clients arrival, staff should already verify rooms if water is available in sink, dustbin in toilet, spoons for coffee in place, also orgazining the extra bed for children staying along upon client request. We asked to put the bed next to our bed but no one was there to do it. We have had to manage. Also, dinner time, there were not a great choices of foods, very limited. Breakfast also the same. I guess for on a half board basis the dinner should have been incredible to maintain the standard of the hotel. Otherwise, to attract more clients, the hotel should revised their package. All inclusive package would attract more clients and emphasis should be given on food and entertainment as well. More live entertainment should be encouraged. Otherwise, some staffs were very kind and welcoming. Thank you and all the best!

I was there to celebrate the birthday of my wife and it was just WOW. The room is very big, the food was DELICIOUS, buffet very well filled and above all, the STAFFS !!! They have been excellent, warm and very attentive. Definitely coming back in DECember , school holidays for my son. A special for Miss Mahimah DOORBEEJAH of the RESERVATION dept for her assistance during my booking process.

Felt like a retreat and an escape in the greeneries of Bel ombre. Love how the staff were welcoming. Special mention to Mr Raj and Tia who welcomed us warmly .I would however suggest the hotel invest on maintenance of the outdoor bathtub with clean water.

Telephone was not working in our room . There was no guest services . Staffs were good, polite but improving of services needs to be done . Property is good . Also I gave my scarf to wash it but they lost , exclaiming that I've not given my scarf to wash and I had to borrow it from my crew later . Very disappointed for this matter . I hope it never happens again with some other crew .

Overall, we had a very good experience during our one-night stay at SO/ Sofitel. The suite was beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, and we really enjoyed our stay. 💯✨ The staff were welcoming and the overall atmosphere was pleasant. However, there are a couple of points that could be improved. We noticed cats inside the restaurant area, which was a little uncomfortable, and the lighting in some areas was quite low. Brighter lighting would make the restaurant and common areas feel more comfortable. Overall, we enjoyed our stay and would be happy to come back. Overall, my experience was good, and the room was a 10/10. The staff were well-mannered and professional, especially Mr. Raj, who stood out for his excellent service. However, when it came to the food, I was extremely disappointed. I would rate it 1/10, as it was not value for money at all. There was a lack of variety, and unfortunately, neither the quality nor the quantity met expectations. I only had some fried noodles, which were definitely not worth what I paid for, while most of the other food was served cold. Considering the price and the standards associated with Sofitel, I expected much better quality, variety, and value for money when it came to the food and dining experience. This was particularly disappointing during my second visit.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay. Unfortunately, throughout the entire experience, it felt as though the resort was more focused on cutting costs and generating additional revenue than on delivering a genuine luxury guest experience. From the very beginning, the check-in experience was extremely poor. I was left in the parking area for almost an hour with no one attending to me. At the same time, only one colleague was handling both check-ins and check-outs for approximately five different reservations. I even witnessed a family with a baby left waiting in a buggy while the colleague was serving welcome drinks to three other arriving guests. This is simply not the level of service expected from a luxury resort. The issues continued with basic room amenities. I was informed there is additional charges for coffee and tea in the room — something I have honestly never experienced, even in an economy hotel. Charging guests for such basic amenities is completely inconsistent with what I would expect from an upscale resort. The spa experience was equally disappointing. I was asked to bring my own towel and was informed that disposable clothing was not provided. I was then directed to purchase disposable clothing from the boutique. Again, this is extremely difficult to understand for a property positioning itself as a luxury resort. Room service was another major issue. It was not available after 10:00 PM. When I was very hungry and had no other dining option, I specifically requested to meet the Duty Manager to discuss the situation. Instead, the receptionist took my order. She was rude, did not apologise for the inconvenience, and simply asked, “Do you want to eat pizza?” without providing me with a menu or explaining what options were available. More importantly, despite specifically requesting to speak with the Duty Manager, no member of the management team came to meet me or explain why room service was unavailable. This lack of ownership and guest recovery was extremely disappointing. Breakfast was another clear example of cost-cutting affecting the guest experience. The buffet had very limited options, and the quality of the fruit was particularly poor. I would strongly suggest reviewing the current supplier and investing more in the quality of the products. Even something as simple as an iced coffee at breakfast was charged separately. However, if you order a hot black coffee and request a separate glass of ice, it is apparently included in the package. This honestly demonstrates how the focus has shifted toward charging guests for every small item rather than creating a positive guest experience. Housekeeping was also below standard. After check-in, I found a cigarette in the outdoor shower area, and it remained there throughout my entire four-night stay. This indicates that the area was not properly inspected or cleaned. Additionally, upon arrival, there was no water for approximately one hour, and there was not even a proper apology or acknowledgment of the inconvenience. Overall, I am extremely disappointed because none of these issues individually should be difficult to resolve, but collectively they demonstrate a serious gap in service standards, operational management, and guest care. I strongly recommend that Accor review the standards and operations of this resort. Unfortunately, based on my experience, very little about the stay reflected the level of service, attention to detail, or guest experience that I associate with Sofitel Brand. This was not simply a disappointing stay; it was an experience that made me question whether the resort genuinely prioritises its guests. I sincerely hope this feedback is escalated to the appropriate management team and that meaningful corrective action is taken.
