Service was Great . Arrived a little earlier, and staff let us in, driving in bad weather all the way and then room clean ,bed made, bathroom was renovated so new and clean. Stayed only one night. I didn't want to stay closer to town because of night clubs and pubs. It was only a 3 to 4 min drive. Either way I'll be back just because of Service alone. Thanks to the staff.

Lovely front office girl Armena, warmest welcome ever. Always remembered my name, great tv, comfy bed,hot water, fridge, excellent lighting and effective air con. No mould in shower, room cleaning excellent. I am well qualified to comment, having stayed in numerous cheap motels throughout WA.

The manager was abusive and rude. Called me a stupid c***, when things didn't go his way. We left and went and stayed somewhere more welcoming. The manager certainly has anger issues and would probably be more suited to a job that doesn't include customer.

total ripoff. Booked through phone number supplied on hotel website, price stated on websites is a lot cheaper that when you actually book direct, websites quote $139 for king room, yet we had to book by phone as website wont take reservations, got after hours call centre at 7pm of evening, charged over $210 for room. Motel going through reno and some rooms are meant to be renovated, asked for reno room and what a crappy reno if this is case as old shower and toilet, kettle slimey on outside where water runs, rooms smell so strong of disinfectant had to keep door open for over an hour to try and get rid of some of stink. Not very welcoming, dont get told anything, have to ask all the questions. Restaurant not opened, website states restaurant on site and breakfast available.

My wife and I stayed three nights at the Ibis Syles Albany. The hotel is located on a main road in an industrial area with no restaurants or pubs within walking distance. There was no recognition of Platinum status on check-in and no welcome gift for Platinum members. We were informed on check-in that there was no breakfast available at the hotel and the on-site restaurant was not directly associated with the hotel nor the Accor group. The menu at the restaurant was over-priced and we did not eat there. The room was dated, small, and lower standard than other Ibis Styles. We returned on the late afternoon of the second day of our stay to find the room had not been serviced. Upon enquiry, we were told that rooms were only serviced when a tag was left on the door. This information was not provided to us on check-in. We were verbally assured that the room would receive a priority, full service the following day. We returned on the afternoon of the third day to find the room had only been partially serviced and that the dishes had not been cleaned. Given that we were checking out early (6 am) the next day, we went down to reception at 6 pm to check out only to find it had closed at 5 pm. We called the after hours service number and were informed that they could not accept payment for the room and that the reception would open again at 7 am. We left the hotel at 6:15 am the next morning and organised room payment post-departure. Overall, an overpriced stay in a relatively poor hotel.
