Polite staff, but person on check-in was learning the role and very slow. I was extremely tired and needed a room and bed quickly.

The positives, new, modern look, restaurant was good, and there was desk space in the room to work on the laptop. Quiet and clean. The room I was in was positively pokey. There was nowhere to put my bag and sort out my stuff - it ended up on the floor by the door - I had to walk around my stuff all the time. Normally I would use the spare bed / couch / designated luggage area for this. The "office chair" was a cheap plastic thing that after half an hour became an issue. The USB slots in the power points either side of the be didn't work (The ones on the desk did). The double / queen bed appeared to be two beds put together (or atleast felt that way) there was a horrible ridge in the middle. The only option for parking was valeat parking and two out of the four times when I had given a specific time that I wanted my car staff had to scramble to get it. In one case having an issue finding the keys while stood there and waited. Just an a pain really.

We had brilliant service from the moment we arrived, thank you to the team for working around the cyclone, all while hosting a wedding reception! Everyone was lovely, nothing was too much trouble, and the hotel and room itself was spotless. Wonderful stay and we will be back. Thank you!
