Many changes have been implemented since my last visit to Norton Grange, None of them for the better. Firstly my privilege room was on the same floor as standards rooms , in the past they have always been on floor 2. My room was directly outside of a lift that I could hear all night aswell as the cleaning trolley and Hoover which was left right outside of my door. Not very privileged and no chance of getting a peaceful sleep. I very quickly discovered that there is now no information about the hotel or it's services in your room at all which means every single query has to asked at the front desk, you do not even get a do not disturb sign in your room, I only nipped out of my room for 10 mins after 1 night stay and the cleaner had entered and began changing beds etc which I did not require or want. For our 1st night we purchased the 2 course evening meal offer. The hotel doesn't have a restaurant anymore so your meal is in the bar area ? after you have yet again had to ask a member of staff what your meal package included due to the complete lack of info anywhere. On my 2nd night I decided to order a cheese board to have in my room? Something I have done at every visit. Only this time I was told too late no food at all is available after 10pm. Not sure how a hotel can advertise 24 hour room service if it only means drinks not even a basic choice of food. So make sure you take snacks or your will be hungry until breakfast time. If you want to order breakfast to your room yet again this has been made much more difficult. You now have to ring them up and list every item you want, this is tedious. The original way where you got a card to tick off what you required worked so much better and you actually got what you required. The spa area was much improved and probably the only good thing about this hotel now. Overall I did not feel like it was value for money. After visiting for many years that will be my last visit.

There was plenty of room to park on the day we visited this hotel. It is in an attractive setting on the edge of Rochdale with pleasant views. The room was clean and spacious with both a bath and a shower. I enjoyed the leisure facilities, including the pool which were free to use. All the staff were very friendly and professional.
