I'm mid way through my stay so may update this but thus far its not great. i was looking to get the all accord membership (at £167 ouch) and use the group for my next years stays. check-in Me: high id like to check in please person on reception: check in isnt until 15:00......... Me: ok... can i leave my bag then? person on reception: certainly sir can i take you name........ your not doe to stay with us.............. Me ok, how about we check the booking ref (shows him a screen shot) person on reception: i cant see it Me : its there (pointing at it) Me: could it be under a different name of the person who booked it? try MR xxxxx Person on reception: ah I see it now that was like pulling teeth, i had to prompt all the way. upon return at 15:00 the next person on reception checked me in and saw my name was down as the guest after all As i wanted to set this chain up as my main one i naturally down loaded all the apps but no one had a clue what the door lock on your phone app was, so another fail. room is massive, clean and really nice. oops tv doesn't work, remote checked and tried switching it on via the tv it self lots of advertisements for this place shows the spa, pool and gym, disappointing that it is £10 extra to use the pool each day. most hotels equipped with a pool don't charge extra. the gym thankfully was well equipped with some top flight kit off to the bar for lunch as the rain is terrible £8:50 for chilli lime whitebait with smoked ketchup it had no chilli, no lime and ordinary ketchup sooooo heated up whitebait and ketchup another 3 nights left so maybe things will improve. bar staff were really nice (even if the whitebait was a disaster) gym is excellent, also they made the bed, sound daft but nowadays hotels use sustainability as a preface for saving money on staff, so was a welcome breath of fresh air to see the bed made for a change room super spacious and clean its just not firering on all cylinders for the level of hotel it pitches it self at for the moment

Room was disgusting . Staff miserable . Stunk of cannabis but not only on my floor Very unsatisfied with the whole stay and hotel . I'd say 2 star at best . One of the worst hotels I've stopped in and to top it off demanded high end money to stop there

The receptionist, Lisa went above and beyond to welcome us and make us feel special. The public areas were welcoming and comfortable. Our room was big, very clean and the bed was comfy. The hotel enjoys a great location in the city centre with easy access to shopping, bars and restaurants.

Main bar poorly stocked with top name brands. Taxi cannot get to hotel entrance due to pedestrian only zone, being disabled this hampered me somewhat.
