Overall good functioning hotel with some room for improvement: bill-to-room does not work smoothly, breakfast buffet is not satisfactory. They sent me to the room to get my credit card to come back and pay my bills immediately, even if I was a hotel guest. Room was double bed room, even if I booked weeks ago. It was pretty dark and w/o any view, even if I stayed 5 nights. More customer empathy is certainly needed. Shuttle service to the conference venue lasted 3/4 hour, as it picked up other passengers from very distanced hotels too. Normal time is 5 minutes by car/bus.

- breakfast service: 3/10; staff neither trained nor coordinated; wait times extremely long, running around like a group of headless chicken. Not staff to blame, it management as clearly no training received - breakfast: asked on two days for soy milk, only one in five people knew what I wanted - breakfast: sausages disgusting - breakfast: please fix toaster already - bar outside: 9/10. Very good service, fast, friendly, knowledgeable - gym: good - room: pillows 3/10, bed 3/10 (old fashioned, not comfortable, too narrow even for single) - aircon: 2/10. When was it cleaned last??? It stank like mold for all days. Very bad. Hotel fully booked, couldn’t change room - lift: waiting times unacceptable. Why can I take stairs for 1 floor? Rates were very expensive. I understand during ADIPEC, but service and hotel quality does not match at all

Positive part: 1) All the staff at the reception desk (especially Puja) were courteous & very helpful 2) One of the room was allowed for delayed check-in Negative part: 1) I did not receive any response from hotel reservation email id for my booking request. Ultimately, i had to approach my local office to get the booking done. 2) After the booking was done, i mailed the hotel reservation email id about my delayed Check-in. Again, there was no response to my email id. I had to call the hotel reception no and inform. 3) I ordered food from the hotel dining menu and informed clearly about the plates requirement as two persons were going to have the dinner. Only one plate was sent along with the food and moreover, when we asked for second plate to the person who delivered the food to room, he came back after half hour and that too without the plates. It was a very bad experience with Novotel dining service.

The hotel is well situated and we had a superb view of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in the night. The check-in process took far too long at 2.30 in the morning. The breakfast was good and the serving area very clean. Enjoyed the swimming pool and the spa facilities. Overall an enjoyable stay.

Stressed staff and annoying party people

Normal hotel, nothing special. Small rooms. Loud music and stubborn youngers messing up with quiet guests. People trying to flirt and behaving inappropriately. The staff is clearly unhappy and stressed. My room had blackout twice. The electricity suddenly stops. Engineers not able to fix it. I asked to change my room.

Negative behaviour of the reception staff

Novotel being an Accor hotel had the all the facilities and rooms up to its usual standard.yet surprisingly I never had experienced such a negative behaviour before from hotel staff in any other country.Reception was not cooperative and far from friendly and clearly judgemental against certain ethnicities. Being a platinum member upon checking in I requested the staff to check my membership status which he hesitated and said he will do it later as if I was not the " right type" to be a member of his prestigious hotel. And upon checking out I insisted the staff to run my email to check my membership status and after confirming I'm a platinum member he said he will send me a re activation email which I haven't received until now. Being tourist my self and my friend needed to exchange USD in to local currency.three times we were denied exchange two times saying the person who handle the exchange was not available and one time to our total dismay he totally refused to exchange telling we will get better rates outside the hotel. We were totally astonished and disheartened by this act and had to face immense difficulties as taxies accepted only AED and not credit cards. On the third day breakfast the restaurant staff refused to give me coffee to take in to my room which I had already done for the previous two days.when I inquired she said they are not suppose to Gove coffee to go. Surprisingly when my colleague went for the breakfast the same day he got his coffee to go and it seems that your policies differ from one staff to a another and also one client to another. I must say my experience with other Accor hotel staff is that most of the time they will to even out of their way to make a client welcome.on the other hand novotel,albustan did not even merely try to convince me that they care about their clients which was highly unprofessional and seemingly racist. As a executive member of the trade union of our airline I'm recommending the station manager to make a change of the crew hotel and reviewing my experience to regional airliners such as Indigo so they can consider this at renewal of contract. Hotel for those that want poor service and no attention to members

Completely disappointed with this hotel primarily because they lied at check in that I wasn't qualified for an upgrade. When I asked to check Puja pretended that she will upgrade at her own authority. Restaurant for breakfast is a joke. All the days, had empty chaffing dishes at 10 am. When I asked for something they said its finished. No coffee and all the hosts are rude.
