Great location, but don't expect to sleep

Despite being on the 15th floor, the early morning truck noises was bad. The token curtains meant the room wasn't dark. The bathroom was so small that my feet were in the shower cubicle when using the toilet. The shower curtain was too small so it meant drenching the towels and toilet, or the sink and shelves. No house keeping on one of the days. The location is good.

My planned stay of one night was pleasant and uneventful. However, my bag was stolen while waiting for a bus to the airport and I was forced to stay an extra night in Auckland. The staff working the graveyard shift were extremely helpful and understanding. When I told them of my predicament they went out of their way to ensure I had everything I needed and booked me another night easily and quickly.

This was a one night stay in town near a function we were attending. The room was clean, albeit tired. Shower was outstanding, and the bed was very comfortable. The curtain could do with a lining for darkness.

3 nights in Auckland for the Iron Maiden concert. I chose Ibis as this was my third or fourth time staying here over the past 14 years. Perfect central location to discover what the Auckland CBD has to offer with Bars, Cafés, Takeaways and Food options as well as Spark Arena, all within walking distance. Have always found the staff friendly and while the rooms are a little smaller than other locations, they are clean and comfortable.
