I’ve been that place in July and I had great time there. I also like staff there especially Mr. Harun and his team. They were friendly,helpful and talkative to me. I will definitely visit that place again when I back.Have a nice day to everyone ;)

The restaurant and bar staff are a genuinely friendly bunch of souls! The service is courteous and professional, and creates a relaxed and chilled atmosphere in the hotel. When you come and stay... go say hi and get to know the team also....they include Gilli, Muthu, Priyanka, Merina, Harun, Stefan, Elise, Cristina, Simran, Shah, Raj, and the others.... Some cool tunes are always playing, and with the comfy sofas, ambient lighting, and friendly faces... and nice bites...it is always a pleasure to be here at the Paddington Novotel... 🙂

Do not stay here for a number of reasons. I’m sympathetic to the cleaning staff, as they are likely disoriented by the simply unbelievable construction noise within the building, but underwear tags left on the floor from the previous guest on checkin is indicative of the absence of attention to detail at Novotel Paddington. With regards to the all-consuming construction noise, while management here has continued to point out that the website and booking states this, the actual impact is absent entirely and any detail around these works is either: • mentioned on the website not implying AT ALL that there is all-consuming noise within the rooms, which is flat-out deceitful (wording at the bottom) • buried in the “Practical information” in the lower third of your booking confirmation talking through “policies", which this is not It’s deliberately hidden by the hotel and they’re clearly aware the guests are not being effectively informed; of this there is no doubt. The fact that the hotel is holding tight to this “T&C” (which it isn’t) given the numerous reviews sharing similar experiences is testament to their complete lack of customer focus and total self-involved attempt to ensure generating revenue during a time when the hotel room is simply uninhabitable from 9-5pm. This is wholly off-brand for Accor in my experience and I assume due to the lacklustre management staff engaged onsite. When raised, the staff they couldn’t have cared less, and this apathetic attitude presented itself at nearly every juncture of my stay. I generally attribute bad attitudes to average management and poor training, and if my communication with Ihjas - the “Guest experience manager” - and Paulo - The operations manager - is representative of the management style, it’s of no surprise that noone seems particularly invested in their job there. Aligned in their mediocrity, email responses from both managers were self-serving and demonstrated no clear impetus to empathise with their guest experience. This highlighted just how far off the mark of the “customer experience" the management team at this hotel is. Given the options London has to offer, avoid this place for the short term because of the deafening renovations, and for long term because of the tired rooms and management. As stated on the website: We are delighted to announce that Novotel London Paddington will undergo a full renovation of the exterior façade, with works commencing from January until November 2024. During this time, structural works will take place to accommodate the new design. Here’s a suggested rewording that’s inline with the actual experience: We are delighted to announce that Novotel London Paddington will undergo a full renovation of the exterior façade but please note that this will impact your stay in ways you can’t begin to imagine by rendering the room you have paid for uninhabitable from 9am until 5pm. So if you’re looking for a stay that actually meets the expectations of our boldly stated "Hotel that makes every moment matter”, do yourself a solid and don’t stay here.

1. Check-in Experience: The check-in process was seamless and quick. The staff at the reception were friendly and efficient, providing all the necessary information about the hotel’s amenities and local attractions. 2. Room Quality: The room was spacious, clean, and well-decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable with high-quality linens. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touches like the complimentary bottled water, coffee/tea making facilities, and a well-stocked minibar. 3. Amenities: The hotel offers a range of excellent amenities, including a state-of-the-art fitness center, a relaxing spa, and a beautiful swimming pool. Great hotel - very central to Paddington station especially when your flight is to/from Heathrow. My go-to place is Piccadilly Circus which is only 5-6 stops on underground. A hidden (as it is very new) gem in London which will no doubt become better known in the future. Reception staff were very helpful and friendly as was anyone that we encountered. Nicely located in a calm garden space in Paddington Basin beside the canal. We had a lovely lunch and a delicious dessert (tarte tatin) in the hotel restaurant before we headed back to Heathrow, served by Harum who was very friendly and efficient in how he dealt with us. We ended up here by accident but it will now be our go-to hotel when next in central London.
