What a disappointment!

The hotel is operating well below the level such a hotel should feature. Sofitel is expected to be a luxury brand of Accor hotels and many yhings were terribly disappointing. Some examples: - the furniture is in bad shape - more than one hour waiting for a simple room service order (a glass of cold milk and a pot of hot water) - no towels and no water in the fitness center (otherwise well equipped) - at check-in they do not say what half-board plan means at this hotel (breakfast and lunch, which is a bit surprising when check-in is at 4pm and check-out at 12 noon... ) - at dinner (which is not included in the half-board scheme), no "à la carte" options. The guests have no choice but a three-course menu at a fixed price. - we asked for a cocktail at dinner time, but even though the bar is just a flight of stairs down, our request was flatly denied - at breakfast (buffet style, included in the half-board plan), i asked an expresso coffee, and I was told it would be charged separately. - we had only one bathrobe in our suite. We asked for a second one, it took more than one hour and a half to be delivered... - the bathroom amenities were very minimal As a conclusion, the hotel did not meet our expectations. I've stayed in Sofitel hotels in various countries and this one is clearly the worst one I've ever seen.

Reception desk must improve the service quality. Some atendants very poorly trained. some were very good. Improve quality as soon as possible. Had to change rooms, due to poor maitenaince. Complete Blackout in te room on the second day.

Could’ve been great. But wasn’t.

Three night stay, traveling with a 3 month old baby. A/C didn’t function properly the first night. Informed front desk next morning. They said they would fix it. Following night was chilly, so no A/C. Third night it was hot again, A/C again didn’t work. Informed the front desk at checkout and requested some sort of compensation for their failure to fix the problem. Was told it was our responsibility to report the problem if it had not been fixed. Forgive me for being blunt, but paying R$1500/night for a hotel room, the A/C should work. Going on a trip to relax and spend time with my family shouldn’t include supervising the maintenance work of the A/C. Otherwise, the hotel is nice a bit old but still nice, food is good, staff is friendly. Could’ve been a nice trip but ended up being unpleasant.

Great resort lovely staff

We got married in São Paulo and took 6 guests from the UK to the Sofitel. The beach is right in front of the hotel and the breakfast and lunch buffet were superb. There was a problem with our Jacuzzi bath but the management compensated us for the loss of this facility so no problem. Very modern and clean with a large pool. Lots of kids so very family orientated so try and get a room away from the kids club if you want peace and quiet. The a la carte French restaurant was top class. Most guests are Brazilian of course and not all the staff speak English but that didn’t really matter. Would recommend

I was very happy about our stay. This is the fourth time we stay at the same hotel in a one year period. Our only complaint was regarding lunch. Our reservation was done at the accorhotels homepage as usual, and as we arrived we were very surprised that this time, different from the other three times we stayed at this place, Lunch was said that was not included! There was no detail about that in the accorhotels homepage, and I did not see anything different while doing the reservation, nor the price was that much different than what was charged before, when Lunch and Breakfast were both included.

The hotel has poor installations. We booked an expensive ocean view room, but the sink was clogged. The coffeebreak had no many options, and the lunch was bad. It's impossible that this hotel is a five stars. Me and my family had a very desapointed weekend and I'm considering to sue the hotel for refund, since it's not even close what it's advertised. Too bad, we where waiting so long to be there.

Very clean hotel, well receptive staff, especially the bellman and valet, breakfast and lunch very well served. The option to exchange lunch from departure day to lunch from arrival day was missing. Tip: Choose rooms on higher floors.

The hotel has an excellent infrastructure, with several pools, restaurants, bars and beach service. Service and care is majestic, as Sofitel standard. Having stayed in the winter, we could not enjoy many services, because they were closed by the low movement. Breakfast is good but meals are very simple served in a limited buffet

The Beach is fabolous and staff Very kindly. But the hotel needs a maintenance. The blackout curtain doesnt Works. Idem the bathtub. Besides I asked for a late check-out because I'm a Silver member of LeClub Accor but the staff denied.

The hotel is indeed very good, with excellent services and beautiful location. The casino game at night is really nice, and the Pernambuco Beach safe and calm. There are several stores and restaurant options attached to the Hotel, at the Jequiti Mall, along with a Pão de Açucar supermarmarket, so that there is no need to travel. Nearby beachs as Enseada and Pitangueiras also offer good options for restaurants and night life.

Sofitel Jequitimar is a very good resort hotel (might be all inclusive or not) one hour and half from Sao Paulo. The rooms are very comfortable. It is located in a nice beach. We very often go with our grandson or granddaughter that can stay in the same room with free meals and no extras. I highly recommend it.

The experience was amazing! The structure's of the hotel and hospitality. The employees was so kind, and make everything to make things going well. On check in I received an upgrade of the room. It was my birthday and they send me a small cake to celebrate with my family. I loved the way that they surprised me and my Family! I desire to return real soon.

Nice but trick

It is a nice place for a weekend escape from São Paulo city. However, kids below age 4 may not stay in the kids club without adult supervision unless you pay for a babysitter and they will be kept on the babies´room. On the other hand, if you buy an all inclusive package, kids 4 years old and older will not be included in the package, they will charge you extra fees for their lunch and dinner.

This is the best property I have ever stayed in Brazil. Better than the Belmond Copacabana Palace. The service is perfect, my Prestige Suite was perfect, the employees are helpful, polite, and kind. The restaurants are great. The pool, amazing. The SPA, absolutely terrific. And the beach.... clean, not crowded, lovely. My wife and I will certainly come back. Congratulations !
