This was the second Pullman hotel I stayed after the one I stayed in Berlin. And it met all my expectations. Top location, great rooms, helpful and kind staff. It was my first time in Basel and the staff helped me to explore and walk around the city with there tips and guidance.

Excellent breakfast, friendly and helpful staff and comfortable room. Parking is a bonus but is expensive. There is a tram stop just outside and a Basel card is included. This gives free public transport and 50% off most museums.

Not suitable to stay during summer

Was a very bad experience during our stay in Aug. We were awake while night since it was very warm inside the room. It was summer and the temperature outside was 30 degree plus and the AC was not working. According to Hotel Management, they cannot do anything as the setting is to maintain 2 degree less than outside temperature. This is ridiculous. I am a Gold Accor member and I do not find anything special treatment as well which I normally get in other Accor hotel. I was upgraded but the room was warm.

Really nice hotel in the Hart of Basel!

It was very pleasant stay again with this very good hotel. Everything is very good organized and managed in this hotel, you start to fill it already upon arrival at the reception desk, because all the staff are very friendly and gentle (This time my special thanks for the Mr. TOBIAS GIESSLER, he was very pleasant). The breakfast was very good and delicious, all staff was very gentle as well. Location of the Hotel is great also, because its just 5 minutes walk to city center. I also used the gym with pleasure in the morning with my daughter. Thank you very much for this pleasant stay, I hope to stay soon with you!

Modern hotel one of the best in Basel but room was too hot in winter

Modern & comfortable hotel the only small detraction is that the room was so hot it was difficult to sleep. By the 2nd night I had progressively adjusted the heating controls to minimum which made it better. As I stayed in January it seems the heating in the hotel was turned up too high.

We had a great time at this hotel, our requests were done before our arrival. Our baby puked at night and the baby cot was changed within 10 min. We had everything we hoped for. The room is confortable with enough space.

First stay at an Accor Hotel

This particular hotel was clean and the staff was exceptional. The room was very small and had minimal space if your the type person who likes to "unpack". The location of the hotel was convenient. There's a grocery store right next to the hotel and the bus stops right in front of the hotel. The bus is the only way to travel inside the city.

We booked 3 nights via the Accor reward scheme, of which we are members. A total price for 3 nights was quoted and we booked the B&B no refund deal as it seemed the best value. Only after booking was the price broken down and we realised that the second night was twice as expensive as the first night and the third night 3 times as expensive as the first night. We subsequent found out this was a price hike due to a trade show in the exhibition centre. We also thought parking was very expensive at 24 CHF per night. It seemed very much a business traveller style of hotel.

Unfortunately I can't take a closer look at your booking as I can't assign you by nickname. The price differences described by you refer according to availability and demand. With 24CHF per night for our hotel guests, we are in relation to the prices for the parking in the midfield or in comparison even below the usual tariffs in closer surroundings. Not the Pullman you may be used to

I've spent lots of time at the Pullman hotel in Redwood City, California - nice property. This place is very different. The bathroom smelled as if someone had an "accident" in there. The odor pervaded the room and it didn't help that the HVAC didn't work. I complained to the front desk about the HVAC and smell and nothing was done. The room was quite noisy because of a fair that went into the night at the Messeplatz. The envelope that contained my keycard had the room number scribbled illegibly. I had to go back to the lobby for it to be deciphered. The front desk booked me a taxi to the airport and told me it would be a metered rate between 40 and 50 CHF. It ended up being 65 CHF (no meter).

I am sorry that you paid a different price than announced for the trip to the airport. But be assured that all taxis ordered by us are licensed taxis and also drive with a taxometer. The average price - with normal traffic - is as communicated between 40-50CHF. If this is higher, there will probably be delays in the traffic or a delay in the agreed pick-up time. Also here I can unfortunately not understand when the journey was in order to better understand and clarify it. If the ride was not with taxometer, I ask you to inform me also that I can announce it according to the central office since this is not permissible. Very bad service at reception

The hotel is situated close to the "Basler Messe" which is good. The people at the front desk seem not to like to do their work properly. Maybe it was just the women that attended us. The rooms were too hot and the air was sticky. I will never go back to that hotel. I am very disappointed with Accor group. They did not reply to my complain about the reception.

Why? Because of the warm welcome, the spacious, very comfortable, spotlessly clean rooms with good bathrooms. The green credentials that are really followed (eg not changing the towels daily when you've indicated you're happy with that). The eco-friendly, quiet and effective air-conditioning in the room (it was in the 30s whilst we were there). The excellent breakfast and especially the staff, the reception and the breakfast staff (special mention to the French lady wearing the tricolore head piece after France's football victory). They are a credit to the hotel. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Modern clean and very comfortable hotel. Close to the conference centre and a steady walk from the river and old town. Plenty of trams past the front door and from the main train station just round the corner. Only real issue was those silly coffee machines they have in the bistro/breakfast room instead of a proper waitress/table service you should expect in a hotel of this quality.

The usual good quality of confort of Pullman hotels. very attentive and nice staff, both at reception and at breakfast. Usefull parking inside the hotel. Only downside was that the television set didn't work correctly

Comfortable and relaxing Basel spot

The hotel is one of the best in the Pullman city chain in my view: very well thought rooms (excellent bed, the shower is spacious and with good water pressure), the room is a perfect place to stay and rest. The breakfast does offer big variety, but each meal is delicious and overall ambience is very inviting. The gym is small but well-organised. The staff is supportive and the Accor loyalty programs works at it best. Each time I come to Basel, I stay in Pullman and never regret.
