shell1780 Couples - TripAdvisor review

Arrived here for a stay prior to the dawn service for Anzac Day - positive note very close and able to walk to the war memorial. Hotel is extremely dated and is in need of renovations, flakey paint on the ceiling and holes in the carpet. Bed uncomfortable with two very small shallow pillows with no comfort in them. Ended up using the cushions. Tv reception extremely poor tv kept cutting in and out saying no signal. Breakfast was nice and on par with other hotel breakfast prices

We were disappointed that the fireplace wasn’t working as when I looked at the photos that’s what drew me to the place. I love a fireplace in a cold climate! The Internet wasn’t great and the fire alarm was a little inconvenient but besides that the staff were lovely And we will stay there again if we go down to see our daughter.

We stayed for 2 nights from Saturday Pro - Big & quite room, comfortable bed, renovated bathroom, location is near CBD, friendly reception & restaurant staff, secured parking Con - Carpet & furniture require upgrade, no USB charger port Neutral - reasonable quantity & quality breakfast at that price tag Surprise- Firm Alarm went off around 4pm - First time for us - False Alarm after standing outside over an hour Summary - will return and recommend if you do not mind the aged building

Booked online as ALL hotels do these days. Was looking for a deal and I certainly got one. A $15 "nickel and dime" add on for parking. Handbasin in room cracked. Floor tiles in shower uneven and scratched my foot on it. Body soap dispenser did not work after jumping in the shower. Cheapest polypropylene carpet ever. 70's bedside tables. Took my credit card swipe for Non-Existent mini bar. I could list 5 other things that were not quite right but why waste my time on obviously deaf ears to fix what is beyond repair.
